@@mattbyrne3621 Goodison Park also the oldest purpose-built stadium and has hosted the most matches in topflight history. Tough to walk away from the Grand Old Lady but it's time. New stadium absolutely brilliant and a boost to our finances.

​@rosse6705 I'm dyed in the wool Evertonian before I upset anyone and get accused of being a Kopite. To be fair Liverpool haven't moved from Anfield because they haven't had to. They had space around Anfield to redevelop. I wish we could have done the same. As I write this I'm looking at my print on the wall of Dixie Dean scoring in the Park End with St Lukes in the background. Dixie and Mr Catterick both passing at Goodison. Pele in the world cup. Dave Hickson , Tommy Lawton , Alex Young, Joe Royle, Bob Latchford Duncan McKenzie and Big Dunc. Kendall Ball, Harvey Reid and Sheedy. Along with many others, they all graced Goodison. Many new memories will made on the dock but Goodison Park will be missed.

Some parts are factually inaccurate, and the video is rather lazy with the graphics. It shows the original stadium design, not the final one which is actually now built. Goodness knows there are enough images on the web to get it right. Irritating pronunciation too - "Kirckby". No mention of the fact that Goodison is the only club ground in the country to have hosted a World Cup Semi-Final.

Its nowhere near the city to change its landscape. Its on Regent Road which is a 4 mile long heavy industry industrial estate. It has literally nothing in the area for the fans, no pubs no chippys no shops at all. there is no transport links within a 15 minute walk uphill to the train station. They should have built this on Walton Park. BMD is next to a sewerage water works and the other way is working docks unloading stinking cargoes. Should have delayed this for 5 years and bought a better football team.

@marksavage1108 Oh no, no pubs or chippies. I hope someone at Everton has thought about this. Maybe Everton could capitalise on this by selling food and drink on the concourse at the new ground. I hope it's not too late to build some bars and restaurants. Maybe they could be open on non-matchdays to build revenue. In 5 years the whole area will be transformed and unrecognisable to what surrounds the dock today.
