Everton had a really good team in the first couple of seasons under Gordon Lee.....was at this game...our first 17 games unbeaten...we should’ve won the league that year...ended up 4th...💙

Wow, did not know that Wayne Clarke was playing for Wolves so early. Thought he had to be younger than that given he played for Everton in 1987.

In 1979 Peter Reid couldn’t agree personal terms after passing his medical with wolves as a Bolton player. Instead he signed for Everton . You then took Andy Gray from us ……and the rest as they say is history. We went down to the 4th Division and Everton won the UEFA cup ,FA Cup ….bla bla bla 🙄🧡🖤🧡🖤🐺🐺

Why was that section of terracing behind the left hand goal so drastically reduced a year or two later?

Greg AVFC 69/70 Jones Health and Safety. There were only three small exits for the entire terrace. The terrace became a terrible spec as only the lower portion remained.
