Boos also reappear in Super Paper Mario, along with the Dark Boos and Big Boo, there were even enemies called the Dark, Dark Boo which appeared in the pit of 100 trials. Dark twice because it's a Dark Boo and it's also the Dark version of the Dark Boo.

Those Boos in SMB1 are Mario boos, not normal boos. Every enemy gets Mario or Luigi-ified when you collect the Big Mushroom.

The Paper Mario Boos are my favourite. Especially the ones from the original trilogy. The unique Boos of that game too (ie Bow and the Bunny-dressed ones) are so cute.

One small note Lady Bow made a cameo in TTYD in Poshley Heights near the place you get they crystal star. I think you have to beat the game first before she appears with Bootler.

There's the Fishin' Boo who only appears in the Choco Ghost House that functions the same way as the Fishin' Lakitu in Forest of Illusion 4 does, except he uses a flame instead of a 1-Up Mushroom. Also the Stone Boos and the Boo Snakes appear in that level too. Also the Boos were originally called Boo Diddlies in Mario 3 as a reference to the song "Bo Diddly"

Thanks for saving me some typing! Super Mario World was my first ever game, so it hurts to see some cool Boo variants get skipped. Also missed were the colored Boos from the You VS Boo mode of Super Mario Bros. Deluxe. The white Boos, which were mentioned, are the easiest, but there are also green, red/pink, and black Boos which are faster. Having recently played through that mode, they stand out in my memory. I've always loved Boo, especially for its sped up Bowser laugh. Hope I'm not coming across as an anal prick, I legitimately enjoyed the video.

18:11 when you said 'opace/opase' I think you meant 'translucent'. Opace isn't a word, but you likely got it from 'opacity' which is the measure of how much light (among some other things) can pass through something, on a scale of 'opaque' (blocks all light from passing through it, maximum opacity) to 'transparent' (does not block any light from passing through, minimum opacity and totally invisible). Translucent is anything between the two absolutes. Anyway, sorry to nerd out like that about a tiny mispeak. Great job on the videos, looking forward to the next one!

you forgot Boo Luigi from Galaxy and the Big Boo from Luigi's Mansion is Boolossus. You showed off the Disappearing Boo Buddies in Super Mario World but didn't name them, and you skipped over Boo Buddy Snake, Boo Crew, and the Block Boo's first appearance (all in the same game). In Galaxy 2 they introduced the Octoboo, in Bowser's Inside Story the boss Bowser Memory ML creates Digital Boos to attack, and (wierdist of all) in Mario + Rabbids the Phantom is created using a Boo balloon (not the enemy), a phonograph, and a Rabbid.

I myself am a fan of these ghostly enemies. My favorite versions of these Boos are the most recent Mario games, like in the realm of 3D Mario, like Super Mario 3D Land to the most recent Super Mario Bros. Wonder. King Boom Boo was one of my favorite bosses in SA2, I’m surprised you didn’t bring up the fact that he was brought back in Team Sonic Racing alongside the ghost enemies from Sandopolis Zone. And in Sonic Runners during the first Halloween event when the Boo enemies were added as followers you could get off the roulette, there was a mistake in the international version of the update where the Boos were called “Boob” don’t know why or how that happened, but they had to make a quick update to fix it and apologize for the issue. It was just funny to me and hardly anyone ever talks about it… I miss Sonic Runners man, it was without a doubt one of the best mobile games ever made. It’s a shame that like Mario smart Tour after it, the game was riddled with microtransactions to the point that it was a major problem, and one of the later updates to the game made them almost mandatory for good scores. Patmac made an excellent video on the history of the game, I highly recommend you watch it if it sounds interesting. Canonically due to Sonic Runners existence, Eggman has worked together with Satan and is even on a first name basis with him. I say that because Sonic Runners is canon, it explains a few things that the main games don’t, it even has its own OST which gets referenced and reused in newer games every now and then. Runners has one of the most underrated video game soundtracks out there, I recommend listening to it if you get the chance.

My favorites has to be Luigi’s Mansion the most especially that version of King Boo. I really hope they add Luigi’s Mansion King Boo in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe as a variant or put in an extra slot since they are now a little bit off with how the roster looks adding 4 new characters instead of two so maybe they plan to add 4 variant characters like Cat Peach and Tanooki Mario were.
