The concept of the All Australian awards is an even bigger disgrace, It's very rarely had the best players because the selectors are 30% of what they should be. This whole 'Access at all costs' works until you show the meat and potatoes they're working with .... below average panel to be kind.

Stewert and cameron in shows their insane biases. They need to stop getting media personal to do this. No Treloar or Weitering? "if he's good enough he'll get there" Exactly they are waiting for players they like to get into the team, players that are good enough already arent even in the conversation because they dont like them. Just like last year having Stewert in over Andrews, Stewert can have a mid season yet they'll put him in over the best intercept defender of the year because they like him more. If they want AA selection to be taken seriously they need to get unbiased selectors and get rid of the people in there with next to no knowledge like Laura. Mihocek has played a couple mid games and been injured, Pendles has been good but barely played, Josh Kelly hasnt played enough either, Fritsch has been bad, Steven May has been bad, Rozee has barely played, Butters has been okay, Ash has been okay, Liam Duggen has been mid. All of these players are somehow getting talked about above Treloar, Weitering, TDK ect.... How are players that have had a few mid games and been injured the rest of the time getting talked about above probably the most consistent player in the comp atm??

I've not heard a more ridiculous statement... I'll start with an easy one; Robert Harvey is nothing in the game of AFL? Gary Ablett? Nick Reiwoldt? All 'nothings' in the great game of AFL football? No doubt a premiership medallion is the pinnacle, but just because you didn't achieve that does not mean you're a nothing. That's a good question imo. A lot of top ruckmen trying to be the Grundy "extra midfielder" model. Gawn is just good at hit outs and clunking contested marks. Just does those very basic aspects of rucking better than anyone
