Justice League is a 2017 American superhero film based on the DC Comics superhero team of the same name. Produced by RatPac-Dune Entertainment, DC Films, Atlas Entertainment, and Cruel and Unusual Films and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, it is the fifth installment in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) and the follow-up to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Directed by Zack Snyder and written by Chris Terrio and Joss Whedon, the film features an ensemble cast including Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen, J. K. Simmons, and Ciarán Hinds. In the film, Batman and Wonder Woman recruit The Flash, Aquaman, and Cyborg after the death of Superman to save the world from the catastrophic threat of Steppenwolf and his army of Parademons.
Warner Bros. began to develop a live-action Justice League film in 2007 with George Miller set to direct, but the project was canceled due to production delays and budgetary concerns. A Justice League film would re-enter development as part of Warner Bros' upcoming DC film slate in October 2014, with Snyder on board to direct and Terrio attached to write the script. Principal photography took place from April to October 2016. After Snyder stepped down from the film following the death of his daughter, Whedon was hired to oversee the remainder of post-production, including writing and directing additional scenes, as well as reshooting a large portion of the film, which changed many aspects of it; Snyder ultimately retained sole credit as director. With an estimated production budget of $300 million, Justice League is one of the most expensive films ever made.
All cast and crew members worked on all three movies, except for music composer James Newton Howard who did not work on The Dark Knight Rises. Composer Hans Zimmer worked together with Howard on the first two films and made the soundtrack for the last movie by himself. Katie Holmes played Rachel Dawes in Batman Begins, but was replaced by Maggie Gyllenhaal in The Dark Knight. Liam Neeson appeared as Ra's al Ghul in Batman Begins and in The Dark Knight Rises. Heath Ledger received an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role as The Joker in The Dark Knight. Ledger died before the movie was released and the award was given posthumously.
Each of the three movies was a success in the box office; The Dark Knight was the number one grossing movie in 2008.[4] The Dark Knight Rises is the third highest grossing movie of 2012. Batman Begins is the ninth highest grossing movie in 2005. Batman Begins earned $372,710,015 worldwide. The Dark Knight earned $1,023,045,358. The Dark Knight Rises earned $1,081,041,287, passing the receipts of The Dark Knight. In both Batman Begins and in The Dark Knight, Gotham City was shot in Chicago, Illinois. In The Dark Knight Rises, Gotham City was shot in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, New York City, New York, and Los Angeles, California.

Why does DC have to almost intentionally set up projects to be lame? Please… tell me why?! I thought them having James Gunn would make these projects amazing. Look what he did with Guardians of the Galaxy. Those movies were incredible. How can we have Superman without Henry Cavil? The fans have waited for years to see another movie dedicated to Superman with cavil in it and finally when they pull the plug… someone different? In another note, there are so many amazing characters in the DCU, why are they making movies without them being incredible? Why do they have to remake movies with the same characters all the time? Some of them will always be a staple, but there are other storylines people would love as well. I truly hoped after Dune Part Two Hollywood would start to put more effort in movies again. All they care about is turning a sick profit, not the artistry of it. Very sad and a major let down.

You know I still weather for them to have Snyder. As a director. maybe I'm looking at this James Gunn character. The way that I am because he do not want the super heroes to look like super hero. Es Ben Affleck as Batman. Most promising Batman that we have ever had. . I can't remember the guy named play Superman. What is on the tip of my tongue? If I would remember I would say at the end of my comment. But he was the best Superman ever. when we read comic books. We see these super hero been larger than light Batman both. Apps bench press 800 pounds. Then we got Superman, cut all up in a soup. Dan Lewis lane doing the unthinkable like flying into space. destroy an asteroid. my problem is when we get these new directors. They're not reading comic books. You need to read some comic books to see what these characters are capable of. if I had been selected to direct one of the DC movies. I guarantee you it would be a blockbuster. Batman swinging in it is gonna look so legit it's not funny, Superman, just buzzing through walls. No a you have to do it that way. and the name of the Superman that I was trying to remember name as Henry Kyle can't get a better Superman.
