As some other people (including Ottr) stated, new player experience is what comp shooters need to thrive. Improving the new player experience is a step in the right direction. Most people won't have a good experience if the game lacks tutorials and they're going to be like "tf I'm supposed to do" in such case.

Their intro and promo videos are always so good. They must have good tools to do that with the game engine but also their capture artists are top-tier.

Jinko this video is EXACTLY 24h too late! :D I introduced a friend of mine to the game yesterday and around this time I desperatedly searched for a video that shows what new players in the game will see and experience now when they start this game so i can guide him through everything that is missing afterwards and adjust what I still have to explain on a basic level and what can be on a mediate level (things like how much money is in a vault, how does the cash in bonus works etc). Its hilarious to me how peak unlucky the timing is but of course still awesome video and it definetly helps for the next friend I "force" to start playing the finals

9:05 The cashout used to get 10K added to its worth every time the timer would reset, meaning you could stay for a long time and get it into the 200K plus. I guess they changed that.

I’m so glad they improved this, the new tutorial looks fun! When a new player uses a red barrel to open up a building for the first time they will be amazed by the destruction system. I hope this improves player retention!

as a new player, the tutorial was nice, maybe i'm dumb or just that it was pretty late at night but it didn't translate well into the game, it took me a couple matches to understand the mechanics. very fun game though! takes a bit to earn VRs to unlock new shit though. also a while to unlock ranked, which my buddies said was a lot more fun (understandable though, i've seen more than enough players in quick cash that seem like they've never touched a shooter before lmao)

And that auto-adjusting line path feature is tremendously helpful for players who aren't that experienced with FPS games. Great video!

The Season 4's New player experience is 100% a step in the right direction compared to before. One of my complaints though is the fact that not many gadgets or specializations have a demonstration video and all the ones that do have them are from OB or S1 which I feel like they should try to update and add more videos for gadgets to preview the item before unlocking them. Although thankfully we have content creators that help teach players this game!

I feel like this is a good start and I appreciate the fun/positivity. I still think it still needs work though, lots of important things not mentioned that would be nice for a first game. To promote a heathier community, I think they should add some more advanced tutorials. I think a lot of people's frustration typically comes from not knowing how to counter things, especially in a game where if you play it right aim isn't the only factor to winning fights and games. If the tutorial was dynamic, that would be cool! If you die to something to much, or lose in a specific way, it could provide specific tips to help.

I do feel heavy need some changes but the mesh shield(i am gonna call mesh shield MS) nerf was a little too much i think a better way to nerf it would have been make the open/closeing of the ability have a 1 second cooldown so if you pull the MS up and back down it'll only have a 1 second cooldown but for lets say every 100(or lower number thats adds a equal cooldown so like 10 would be 0.1) damage the MS takes while it is up add lets say 1 second is added to the cool down. So if you pull it out and it takes 400 damage and you put it away you will have 1 second from opening it plus 4 more seconds making you have a 5 second cooldown before bring it back out.​

Bruh you could have got the point across is way less time, and it would have been great to hear suggestions such as instead of just throwing a barrel how about learning how to cook it to make an Ice fishing Hole. Or highlight the deliberation that takes place when you've got the choice between poaching a cash out and going for a vault Or maybe how effective a jump pad can be to escape a dodgy situation That's the kind of s*** that people don't understand

If you are talking about what the tutorial itself is missing: there are WAY TOO MANY THINGS to teach players. Some of them, they can figure out on their own by playing. Some on KZbin. The tutorial can't teach your EVERYTHING!
