I have that game, it doesn't get to the table much. As Tom said; you have to be in the right mood to play it. I played it with two players and it was ok.i felt that the game itself was a little dry, but those playing pieces make up for it. I found this in a charity shop for a few pounds, I think if they re-printed it they would have to jazz it up a bit.

Just found this same version ata thrift store... had to check out a video to see what I got, thanks! I was wondering if it was reimplemented and I see a comment about Santorini borrowing the mechanisms. Hope I like this one better than Santorini, but by the looks of it, I think I will... for $1.99 I can't go wrong anyway! PS... it was reprinted! 🤪

Not sure if I'm dense, but I didn't catch how the king moves around. Is that an available action?

+David Allen the king is moved at the end of every round by the one who's last on the scoring track. :)

I really enjoy Tikal, would you say this replaces, is similar, or a very different game, than it?

+David Keough It is simpler than Tikal and has far less down time (5 aciton per turn instead of 10 !) The playtime is also around 60min. This is why i enjoy it more than Tikal personnally. Last but not least, the game is agressive with the cards, which is really fun !

+Eric Finley Drab? I think the board is beautiful...with a very "tapestry-ish" look. The components are cheesy, admittedly. Those plastic "castle tiles" are as awful and as cheesy as plastic miniatures.
