Regarding the Universal Century timeline, the UC calendar begins in far the future, some time after 2045 when the construction of the first space colony began. As for the 360 degree display cockpits, that technology was actually first shown in the 1985 TV series Zeta Gundam. Canonically, that technology was only starting to be applied to experimental mobile suits toward the end of One Year War in U.C. 0079, according to War in the Pocket. By U.C. 0087(Zeta Gundam), the panoramic monitor was now widely used in mobile suits. So it was already well in use long before the events of Unicorn(U.C. 0096) and Hathaway(U.C. 0105).

Look, guys, don't fret about the timelines. Unless specified in-series, every Gundam continuities are basically set in different universes. The ones that technically connects with each other are Universal Century (UC), Correct Century (CC) and Regild Century (RC). UC will get even more complicated because while yes, 95% of the materials are canon, but some, like Thunderbolt, technically considered as an alternate timeline within the UC itself. Same goes with CC, as the creator itself said that CC is the could be the aligned, far flung future of every other Gundam series. Also, yes, 360 cockpit in Gundam was first introduced in 1985 with Z Gundam. Continuity-wise (in UC) it's in War In A Pocket. I don't think anybody ever said it starts with Unicorn or Hathaway....

Amuro (who piloted the RX-78-02, aka the OG Gundam of the original 1979 anime) is the son of the engineer who designed it, hence why he was able to even get close to it in the first place while the area was under attack. And also why he was literally holding the manual in his hands, having to go full trial by fire with it during his first battle. And that's after he and his best friend just saw his beat friend's entire family get blown up in front of her (part of Gundam was always "show that war is a truly terrible thing", and OG Gundam did that really well. So did a lot of later anime, except for G Gundam which is basically an alternate universe where fighting tournaments with gundams has replaced war entirely, but G-Gundam still follows most of the other themes pretty well despite how wild and over the top G-Gundam, aka Gundam Ball Z, is).

6:20 yea although zeon was the first to make Mobile Suits, the Federations are the ones who introduced hand held beam weaponry. But during the end of the war zeon also copied the tech and handed it out to some of the newer produced suits

13:30 that was maybe the only time that Heero ever laughed, I think they hadn't decided on his character yet when they had him laugh like a maniac there. Later things may have retconned it into laughing in despair or something.

Fun fact, the pilot suits in G-Gundam are made entirely of nanobots, which is how they connect to the mobile suits, though it also allows the pilot to "feel" whatever damage the Gundam takes.

Kind of strange how some of the Gundam’s have extremely short runtime in this video and some very long runtime for example the Zeta Gundam could have been a bit longer since it does transform like literally in a couple seconds but they just showed the launching and not the transforming but the ZZ Gundam shows it in the Core Fighters and then transforming But still great video like always

11:39 to give a bit of context as to why u see two big ass gundam holding hands romantically like that 🤣🤣god gundam here is the successor of the shining gundam first and foremost, and during that scene he was fighting with the other gundam which is the black gundam called master gundam ( his former teacher ). So the god gundam were sent to him as part of the upcoming tournament that he will need for it ( This G Gundam series is just basically like a battle royale game of sorts and he represents japan but in the series is called Neo Japan because well, it means that they are from space because most of the county are in space due to "earth pollution and destruction from the battle royales" ). But as the God gundam were sent to him, it is inactive when our main characer Domon trying to use it, but the girl ( from the voice and also the girl thats in ur previous video about the love blaster with the old man came out from that blast 🤣🤣) told him that in order to active it, he would need to basically transfer all out the information from his previous gundam ( shining gundam ) into the new one which is the God Gundam, and then thats the part where they hold hands like that because well the girl was controlling the shining gundam and you know, those anime non chalant love feelings between the male character and the female character as they look into each other ( just that this is in gundam forms🤣🤣) and they perform this neuro link transfer thingy where they just transfer it like a bluetooth basically by just holding hands

As for the series, this is the only series where their cockpit are like the Pacific rims cockpit, instead of the traditional controlling with remotes and stuffs because this was the start of a new timeline or universe for a gundam series ( previous gundams are all in a universe called UC = Universal Century and the G gundam universe is called FC=Future Century ). But don't get too focused on the future part here because it's not the future of the UC timeline, it's just called future that's it. And later on new universe timelines will be created in the show like after g gundam is the wing gundam where it is reside in the AC universe ( After Colony ). So they are not related to each other at all unless they are from the UC timeline
