I have these exact same textured ones but haven't put them on yet, thank you for the video! I do have the back one on my 2017 for about a year and a half now, the MMD one or MMR I think it would sort of match these because it has a little bend in the design. Only problem I have had with the back louvers on both my 2013 and my 2017 was the mounting brackets always broke so easily, the threaded part would snap off the metal plate with hardly any force. The brackets were just like stamped together cheaply so I bought some Willpak Industries bracket kits on Summit that had the same threaded posts but welded together. I removed the tape off them, cut them, painted them black and re-taped them and now I can use a ratchet to tighten the back louver on if I wanted. It's a lot more work than the side ones and beyond that I also had to put thin strips of foam on certain parts of the louver to prevent rattling against the window on both cars

I was looking at the mmd ones as well. I heard they break or crack around the mounts from a few people now. Id probably go the same route with the different brackets if I end up getting it. Thanks for watching :)

I drove an SN95 and this S550. I used to be a linebacker. So my eyes can get a good peripheral out those side windows. So that's the only reason I question doing this to my car.

I think they look good, especially on your black 5.0. I wouldn’t worry too much about the tape not holding. I had a duckbill spoiler on my old car for 2 years that was just held on by 3m tape. That stuff is crazy strong

They look great. I saw someone spray clear coat on theirs first to make them a little glossier. How old it the side and the back window got to do the back window. Especially if your car is lowered.

Flex tape is super strong but it’s so sticky it’s hard to remove as it leaves massive adhesive residue unless you use a blow drier to heat it up, the downside of flex tape is that it doesn’t stick on both sides just one, used it to temporarily fix my driver side mirror only it left a bunch of residue plus the sun heating it up doesn’t work lol, used wd40 to remove the adhesive and bought another mirror

Yeah its one of those things where it looks like you got it all off and when it dries it all comes back. I had the same issue in the past haha

I've got 29k kilometers on them and they're just under half life. But I drive pretty nicely for the most part haha. If you have a heavy foot they will definitely go a lot faster than mine.

The slots are actually big enough to get your fingers and a cloth in there. But the window stays pretty clean just having that on
