I'm pretty sure the reason Weavile and Darkrai are given grass weaknesses is due to them deciding to lump bug in with grass, seeing as they're both weak to bug in mainline games.

Yeah agree. Same goes to why all the legendary bird trios are weak to lightning due to them being a flying type. And also some water type are weak to metal due to being ice type

Which is also why the purloin line is weak too grass as well which many people don’t know

Weavile is neutral to Bug tho in the games being a ICE-DARK type. I would have much rather had a Fighting weak Weavile (as weavile is weak to ALL 3 types inside the Fighting-Type energy, Fighting, Rock and Ground) instead of a Grass weak weavile (being only neutral to Bug and resistant to grass) Darkrai ex being weak to grass (bug) is fine I guess

Saved a lot of hourglasses to build Garchomp and didnt even get a basic Cynthia card but got 2 inmersive Palkias and full art manaphy so I just made the deck not knowing what a powerhouse it is ty for the video!! And recover soon!!

The grass type in the card game stands for bug type too. That’s why they have that particular weakness. Good content, I’m really looking forward to find some new EXes (dark ones and Pachirisu) to start building some new deck too!!

I immediately built Exeggutor Yanmega deck as soon as i pulled it yesterday, it's really nice, even more with the rise of Darkrai now, i also play one cap for buffing Egg to 180 hp, with Erica it easily survives many turns allowing you to power up Yanmega in the bench while also dealing some good damage 👌🏼

In my opinion mismagius is going to work very well with someting strong in the back build up to sweep while it slow down the opponent and put pressure at the same time.

Mismagius is a cool card. I hope it's good but I'm afraid it only survives as a rogue deck. My early thoughts hope I'm wrong.

Mismagius is going to replace my wheezing in the troll deck where you put them to sleep with hypno And confuse them (wheezing a,ready had this ability) holding a mew in the back

Palkia/Greninja is another deck that has high potential. It will also be interesting to see if Yanmega is played best with Exeggutor or Dialga. I believe they intentionally printed Yanmega to counter Weavile.

i am so fed up with greninja and it's 2-stage-evolvin ass. i NEVER make it to greninja. which is odd because i got no problems with pulling gardevoirs and serperiors

If Darkrai/Weavile dominates the meta i bet people might start running a Shaymin. Since it effetively gets rid of the Spiritomb damage

I've already decided on some decks from the new packs the majority being the Legendary decks along with the Cynthia deck and the Darkrai EX Deck I'm a huge fan of Legendary/Mythical pokemon that's why the decks I like the most are Mewtwo EX, Mew EX, and Celebi EX but regular decks Charizard EX and Pikachu EX probably should start using different decks since I'm new to battling and not really competitive and using my favorite decks I keep losing and when I lose I just quit battling for long periods of time

Imo the best way to play ape is with mew or druddigon, i think Charizard gonna still benefit moltres the most tho but im not sure The thing is, you need a good Pokémon to stack energies before you can ape

I wonder if Mismagius isn‘t just very good with Dusknoir. Think about it either the opponent stays confused and can‘t attack or Dusknoir absorbs the Dmg dealt to Mismagius

That Infernape EX deck is booty cheeks. I believe Infernape EX is a great combination between Charizard and Arcanine, so cut the Arcanine line entirely for consistency. Running zero Leafs in a Moltres EX deck is just bad, so add them. Cut the cape and Sabrina for two helmets, and you should have a more consistent deck with the appropriate breakpoint thresholds. People don't realize that Dawn and Infernape EX's low energy requirements (zero retreat and two energy for Fire Blitz) opens up Moltres EX to activate Fire Blasts much, much more often.

The rules in the app (and in the physical TCG) state that "Asleep, Paralyzed, and Confused cannot stack with each other. If one of these Special Conditions is applied, it replaces any of the others." Did you test the Mismagius Hypno deck?

Yes I think I just spoke incorrectly Jake! (Also what's up!!!) I was trying to compare it to the sleep/para deck I made a while back - which compounded the probabilities of landing a "stun" on our opponent even though both effects cant be applied simultaneously. Hope that makes sense - Thanks for catching that :D

Lucario doesn’t make sense in the Gallade deck. It’s ability only affects one other Pokémon in the entire deck (gallade). Gallade already buffs its own attack by +20 multiple times so the effect of the lucario ability is pretty insignificant overall in that deck, and the ability is the only reason to use lucario

Basically, dark types in the main series turn into dark types that are weak to grass (bug) in pocket, and poison types in the main series turn into dark types that are weak to fighting (ground) in pocket
