Ya know, with Javon belcher murdering his girl friend, driving to arrowhead stadium and then killing himself in front of Scott Piloi and romeo crennel. Oh, and that happened on a saturday night and the NFL forced the chiefs to play the game that sunday anyway. We won somehow...

I’m a longtime Broncos fan, and I can tell you from experience that 2022 was our worst season ever. The Russell Wilson trade and Nathaniel Hackett hire were total disasters from the very beginning, and the *Seahawks* also made it to the playoffs with Geno Smith, so that just adds extra salt to a very open wound. Not a lot of people know this, but *Melvin Gordon…* our former starting RB who was cut after a Week 11 loss to *Raiders HC Josh McDaniels…* finished the 2022 season as a Super Bowl champion with the *Chiefs,* who had their best season ever that year. If that’s not the *worst possible ending* to your worst season ever, I don’t know what is.

I respectfully disgree, while 2022 was indeed really bad, the Josh McDaniels era was absolutely the worst. The team went from Shanahan's playoff winning culture (admittedly his final seasons in Denver were not great) to an absolute meme after the 6-0 start. There was some insane statistic at the time that had the Broncos have the best odds in the entire league to make it to the playoffs after week 6, and McDaniels lost every single game for the rest of the season sliding backwards out of the playoffs. He arrived in Denver and immediately traded Cutler and Brandon Marshall along with a host of other players he didn't want, instantly destroying the team's depth of talent and sabotaged the organization for almost 5 years of recovery. There was nothing but darkness for us Broncos fans between McDaniels and the arrival of Tebow time.

I have to disagree with your Colts pick. 2019 was just a mediocre year, one of many recent ones, for the Colts, even with Andrew Luck's retirement making it seem more painful. 2011 was an unmitigated disaster, though their 2-14 record meant they could draft Luck. 1991 was so terrible, they set the record for fewest points scored in a 16-game season, 143 (still second fewest) in route to a 1-15. They only scored a touchdown in 7 of their 16 games that season! But, as outstandingly awful as those dumpster fire seasons were, the 1982 season takes the cake by a mile. The strike shortened it to nine games. The Colts didn't win any of them, going 0-8-1. In their four home games, they drew just 107,646 fans. Let that sink in, they averaged less than 27,000 fans in a stadium that seated over 53,000 (and based on what a family friend told me about attending Colts games at Memorial Stadium during that period, the fans who were there were paying more attention to hits being passed around the stands than hits and passes on the field). At the end of the 1982 season, the Colts got the first overall pick, John Elway, who refused to play for the Colts and forced a trade to Denver. The Colts wouldn't get their HOF franchise QB until Peyton Manning. Oh, and the Colts would leave Baltimore in the middle of the night 14 months later.

Honestly I think the Ravens Worst season ever was 2007 -They went 5-11 -They just came off of 2006, where they were upset in the divisional round by the Colts - they cut Jamal Lewis - they were the one team who lost to the 1-15 Miami Dolphins 😑 - this is Brian Billick's final season as coach - lastly they gave the undefeated Patriots quite a scare in one game but lost by a TD
@michaelhession21057 сағат бұрын
The only one that I think comes close to that is 2021 -They lost 6 straight to end the year -They broke the record for starters on IR including their entire backfield before Week 1 -Steve Saunders -Greg Roman and Wink Martindale getting exposed -They lost 5 games by three points or fewer -They had to watch the Bengals make the Super Bowl run that should have been theirs

1997 was the year Bears head coach began the season declaring, "All the pieces are in place. One memory of that year: local sportswriter Steve Rosenbloom had a reader contest for fictional movie titles to describe that year's Bears seasons. Standout replies included: "Punt for the Rest of October" and "Kramer vs. Lamer" (which is a good description of RIck Mirer). I'll also add as a possible mention: the 5-11 year in Marc Trestman's second/final season. Soooo much utter incompetence and pathetic drama revealing that the former CFL champion coach was in completely over his head in the NFL. The amount of stories from that year would take hours to type in.

That 1-13 year for the Steelers was Chuck Noll's first year as coach and that was when he drafted Mean Joe Greene. It would take him a while to put the pieces together to make a great team. He was not hired in 1970 as you state in this video. The Steelers worst seasons afterwards were in 1970 when they went 5-9 and they went 5-11 in 1988 under Noll. Since 1970, the Steelers have had a total of 8 losing seasons out of 53 (54, assuming they get two more wins this season).

If we were to only include the modern era, then the 2005 season was the worst for the Packers. Injuries, Favre revering to his Falcons rookie year form, and years of bad front office decisions by GM and Coach Mike Sherman lead to a 4-12 season that got Sherman fired for good.

For the Colts, it should be 1981. Worst statistical defense ever, owner and head coach fighting, 2-14 season, didn't even get the number one pick, as they beat the 2-14 Patriots twice, though that team was a LOT better than their record indicated. And it was pretty much the beginnong of the end of the Colts' time in Baltimore.
@chrisj.98828 сағат бұрын
I know this is going waaaaay back - but for the Colts, 1981. They went 2-14, and it didn't lead to anything - they were 0-8-1 in the strike-shortened 1982 season. The '81 team was outscored by several hundred points and I don't think they had a single lead in the second half of any of their 14 losses, and only a first half lead in three or four of them. Their two wins? Both by a point or two - and both over the same time (division rival New England). Those Patriots also went 2-14, so the Colts couldn't even get the #1 draft pick. That may have been the year a teammate accused QB Bert Jones of being a racist, too. What an all-around shitshow. And then they moved to Indy not long after. What a horrible season.

1988 was pretty bad for the Packers. Only 4 wins, ended up with the 2nd overall pick in the 1989 draft, and drafted a bust 2nd overall while the following picks were HoFers. The only reason it isn’t worse is because it was so bad that it caused organizational change. 1974 was also pretty bad. Dan Devine as HC & GM traded 2 firsts 2 seconds and a third to the Rams mid season for a QB in his thirties that had just gotten benched in LA for being so bad. So it of course screwed the team for the rest of the decade.

I think 2007 and 2021 were worse for the Ravens than 1996. In 96, that was their first season coming from Cleveland, and they were forced to gut everything and start over which is understandable. But here's I think 07, and 21 are worse. 2007 -They went 5-11 (Lost 9 of 10 to end the year) -They were one of the favorites to reach the Super Bowl out of the AFC - They lost Jamal Lewis, Adalius Thomas, Peter Boulware and Edwin Mulitalo, among others - they were the only who lost to the 1-15 Miami Dolphins (1 win against a team above 500) - This was Brian Billick's final season as coach (Why did he trust Kyle Boller) -This was Jonathan Ogden and Mike Flynn's final season in the NFL - They gave the undefeated Patriots quite a scare in one game but lost by a TD (Only to get blown out by the Colts 44-20 the next week) 2021 -They lost 6 straight to end the year after an 8-3 start -They broke the record for starters on IR including their entire backfield before Week 1 -Steve Saunders held back several players rehabs including Lamar Jackson and Marlon Humphrey -Greg Roman and Wink Martindale got exposed on a weekly basis especially against contenders -They lost 5 games by three points or fewer even though they were massive underdogs on paper -Marquise Brown became a diva to the point where he eventually was traded on Draft Night 2022 -They had to watch the Bengals make the Super Bowl run that should have been theirs
