I still have my original Pokedex which is the only one i have and it still works perfectly but the Johto Pokedex has always been my favorite and still is.

To me, the first 2 dexes felt the best quality wise, Tiger just nailed them, the other have really cool features, but they kinda look bulky and also the plastic looks cheap, so the first two from 1999 and 2001 were just the best

I have a similar Pokédex to the Kalos version it opens up just like the one you had but this one had a feature where you press the button and it spins and makes lights and then if you put up a Pokémon toy up to it, it scans it

Oh, you missed the rereleased Rotom-Dex for Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, which is quite bigger, has a touchscreen and stylus and also removes the arms and feet of Rotom, so that it is easier to hold. You should try out that one, it's really cool!

My camera is 112 years old and it got dark quicker than I expected (you can tell near the end) so I did have to try and sharpen/brighten some things. Sorry for the grains!

The Rotom Phone one, you had to shake downwards the device to walk in the virtual map. I figured out thanks to the Japanese video of the product in the official site :). Nice collection by the way!

A few of them I have had from the late 90s, the rest I was lucky to score locally. All of the overseas one I got through a buddy in Japan! Keep looking! We are putting them to good use in our big Pokémon project (with a little help from OG Pokedex voice Nick Stellate) :)

Oh boy 😂 they come from allllll different places! A couple I have had since childhood. Some from eBay. Some from Japan. A few from local sellers! If it helps, I can tell you the Gen 4 Johto Dex, Gen 6 Hoenn, Gen 7 & 8 are all Japan only. The Gen 6 Kalos is very very limited in its English run (comes originally from the UK). Hope this helps!

They are Japan imports! Fairly hard to find. Check the description, anything from Japan you might find through a proxy or via ebay if lucky. :)

That's a loaded question! Essentially, the OG Kanto I have had since childhood. Some, like the Gen 2 gold Johto dex, I scored from a local guy who gifted them to me. Some of the Japanese only ones were from a proxy service, and the Gen 6 UK was gifted from a buddy of mine 😊 At the end of the day, online searching either through US or JP markets are your best bet! Good luck!

Some from the internet, some in-person. A couple from Professor Oak 😂 jk. Yeah, it wasn't easy. Especially a couple of the Japanese only varieties, I had to use a proxy service. Lucky a buddy of mine had that HeartGold/SoulSilver one through a local connection 👍 It's quite a task!

If you mean me, I can't because I am horrible at speaking other languages. If you mean the Pokedex systems, I think the later ones might be able to (post XY) but XY and prior i believe only released in certain regions and you have to buy accordingly. I had a rough time finding the limited English XY one. Hope that helps!

It is very possible! Every generation here has alternate versions for different companies (Tomy, Bandai, Jakks, etc) and not to mention a few within Gen that are missing. I have more surprises in store for our main adventure too, some models were made for other Poké machines (like the PokéGear, etc), any of which could include what you remember! :)
