I feel like people don't appreciate spirit battles. To me, it's like event battles but every battle is based around a character and I think that fits so well with trying to represent characters that aren't in Smash already. One thing to note about the Metal Mario fight being set in Great Cave Offensive is that it might also represent the cavern in Hazy Maze Cave where you unlock the Metal Mario power-up, which itself was the inspiration for the Meta Crystal stage of Smash 64.

4:27 This is actually Melty MONSTER Galaxy from SMG2. Not Melty MOLTEN from SMG1 like you said. The Rock powerup wasn't in SMG1 and Melty MONSTER's second star is a long rolling course you have to survive as Rock Mario plus there's a secret star where you play bowling as Rock Mario.

Super and Poison Mushrooms in Toad's battle could reference his perks in the Mario Kart games. In most of the games he gets mushrooms or triple mushrooms from item boxes more often, and in Super Mario Kart, his special ability as a CPU is throwing poison mushrooms at the other racers.

About the Toad spirit. The Toad featured in Super Mario Bros. 2 is Blue Toad, which is the same Toad that would later be seen in New Super Mario Bros. Wii, New Super Mario Bros. U, Super Mario 3D World, and later on in Super Mario Maker 2. The one Toad commonly seen in spinoffs is a separate Toad entirely, with his distinction being his blue coat and red cap.

There are also the skills of each Spirit (Well, those that HAVE skills) to be discussed and what they represent. (P.S.: After looking up these Spirits and their effects, it should be noted that some references are not always clear and a few are quite obscure. These are the best I could come up with. Also, the "+" and "-" next to some skills references the up arrows and down arrows next to them, respectively. This indicates that the attribute in question is either boosted or reduced, respectively.) Super Mushroom: Stats + after Eating Upon getting a Super Mushroom in the mainline Mario games, Mario gets bigger, is able to break the Brick Blocks, and can take a single hit from an enemy without dying. Fire Flower: Fire Flower Equipped Pretty self-explanatory. Shoots out a stream of fire, just like how the original Fire Flower enabled Mario to throw fireballs. Super Star: First-Strike Advantage Touching a Super Star grants you invincibility for a short time, and surrounds you with shiny sparkles in this game. Metal Mario: Weight + Being made of metal, Metal Mario is slower and heavier than usual, but is harder to launch. Boo Mario: Lightweight Boo Mario is able to float through the air with no trouble. Toadette: A Master Spirit in World of Light. She runs the Ruins Expedition, which is just a reflection of her skills as a treasure hunter. Toadsworth: Ramblin' Evil Mushroom Equipped References the Toads in general, being Mushroom people. Waluigi: Foot Attack + Waluigi has long, lanky legs, which he uses to attack as an Assist Trophy. Goomba: Foot Attack + A reference to how easily Goombas can be defeated, simply by stomping on them. Koopa Troopa: Green Shell Equipped After jumping on a Koopa Troopa, they retreat into their shells. You can then pick the shell up and throw them at other enemies. Hammer Bro: Jump + Hammer Bros will often jump when throwing their hammers, allowing for a greater range. Lakitu & Spiny: Weight - Lakitu rides on a cloud, flying through the air. Blooper: Weight - Bloopers float around in the water, moving around with ease. Bullet Bill: Enhances to Banzai Bill A Banzai Bill is just a bigger and more powerful Bullet Bill. The skill [Impact Run] is reminiscent of the Bills' ability to damage Mario by moving towards him.

An extra reference with Squirtle and Koopa Troopa: Squirtle's side special can be jumped on similarly to a koopa shell. Also... I can't wait until you get to the 'miscellaneous' spirit section. Nintendo had thought showing a bunch of characters from the main roster series wasn't enough, so there are a bunch of DS titles thrown in that like no one knows or cares about (like Num Diddly, no good footage existed last time I checked).

Hope you can talk about what does every spirit do (did i spell that right? English is not my first language 😅). For example, why does the Duster Spirit gives you more Foot Attack? Or why does the Paz Ortega Andrade gives you a lot of Bob-ombs?

Not familiar with Duster to explain him (I'll have to look up info on Mother 3 to do so), but as for Paz... In Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, Paz had been captured by XOF and they managed to implant bombs inside of her. Big Boss's team were able to remove one of them, but they didn't know that there was a second bomb, and it detonated. This severely crippled Big Boss and cost Miller his arm.

Dear Aaronitmar, I like all of your "Every {blank} S.S.B.U. videos." but there's some fun "Amiibo" facts you may have overlooked. If a player scans a Wedding Outfit Peach Amiibo or Wedding Outfit Bowser Amiibo, they receive a Spirit of that character (respectively) as well as an AI-controlled Figure Player of the character (respectively). If a player scans a Waluigi , Goomba, or Koopa Troopa Amiibo, they receive a Spirit of that character (respectively). That's all for now, keep up the good work!
