Just clarifying it here because everyone seems to think that the black holes Gardevoir makes is so dangerous. 1. At the size of it, let's assume the size of a baseball, it would have a weaker gravitational pull than even the Moon's, making it pretty much useless. 2. For reference, even if the sun hypothetically becomes a black hole right this moment, it still won't have enough gravitational pull to kill us all off. What will kill us in this hypothetical situation is the lack of sunlight. 3. A black hole that little would likely collapse due to the gravitational pull of the earth and sun ripping through it. It's easy to misunderstand the danger of Gardevoir's small black holes because of how black holes are usually portrayed in popular media.

Horsepower is a perfectly usable unit of measurement to assign to Kingler’s claws-it tells you the power output of the muscle contractions, and metabolic and mechanical power output are of great interest to biomechanics. It’s not as directly helpful for “plug and play” determination of how hard Kingler can pinch but it’s fundamentally more useful in broader application, since things like force and pressure are going to rely on the specific interaction of whatever it’s using those claws on, or even individual variation of claw shapes between specimens (power output would also reasonably vary within a range). It’s not “made up” it’s just not a direct measurement of force of force or pressure. You’d need to do analysis of Kingler’s claw with that figure in mind if you wanted to know, and as far as that *kind* of analysis go it’s probably pretty simple because it looks like a simple lever. You need mass estimates of the two halves of the claw, average distance from point of rotation that force is applied by muscle fibers to discern mechanical advantage of the muscle fibers, and if you really wanted to get gritty you’d simulate the closing action of the claw and assume that either the average or peak power output with respect to the force-velocity relationship is 10,000 horsepower. Then you could probably use this information to determine the force the claws can put out at the highest (unmoving squeeze, technically zero power output) as well as the impact potential of the slamming claw (its going to be shutting **unbelievably** fast, so there’s going to be a heavy impact with high force and pressure). Pressure can be ascertained with an assessment of the contact area of the claw’s edges with the object being pinched and the length down the claw the pinching is happening. Most materials will probably be sheared or warped by these stresses, and there is no one-size fits all figure for the pressure put out by the claw-in this sense horsepower is infinitely more valuable since it’s more objectively telling you how powerful the claw is rather than an unknown example. If you actually have engineer friends they should be able to help you work this out if they’re willing, but you have to phrase the question in terms of systems and give them something to actually work with, not slap it next to Blastoise and go “which number is bigger”, because that IS a nonsensical comparison. That all being said I can probably save you some time here-under the given pressure assumptions, Blastoise’s water cannons are going to consume *unbelievably* more energy in short periods of time, since even if Kingler’s power output is higher it can only generate that power for a fraction of a second-the claws can’t close more when they’re already closed and the high power output itself means that closing will happen very very fast, with the energy of a given snap almost certainly never breaking tens of kilojoules under those figures at the absolute most. An example garnet abrasive water jet cutter (they typically don’t *just* use water) at 50,000psi might consume in excess of 26 kilowatts (joules per second) at a rate of under a gallon per minute. Energy isn’t everything but when you scale up from a 0.014-inch diameter nozzle… The only concern with that conclusion is that there shouldn’t be enough room in Blastoise’s body to actually store enough water for any kind of even vaguely sustained fire, but it and every other water Pokémon seems to access to vaguely infinite sources of water like how every fire Pokémon never seems to run out of fuel, so, whatever. That all having been said I would caution against the assumption that Blastoise’s cannons do have the same kind of pressure as a water jet cutter in the first place, since the mechanics of punching through steel plate don’t need to be the same, especially when the diameter of an impactor is more substantial in comparison to the width and you don’t actually need a clean cut…

You can most definitely turn horsepower into something comparable to the power of a water jet. All you need to do is convert that unit into joule’s, if you just simply take the wattage of the crusher (1 horsepower is roughly 740w off the top of my head) times the amount of seconds it is capable of holding that force. Of course we don’t have an exact unit for it but you can go head and give some assumptions. I’d say that he should be able to hold that pressure for a singe second, that means 7400000 joules. You can convert any feat of strength, velocity, or heat into joules, a true measurement of energy.

To destroy a mountain you would need more power than the bombs we hit Nippon with.

I'd like a mention to hydreigon's dex entry stating that it will destroy anything that moves It's category is listed as the brutal Pokémon who's dark and dragon, two type combination known for destruction And there was an episode where a rouge hydreigon fought a soon to be iris's dragonite and would probably almost killed it if it weren't a kid's show So while not the most powerful, it's definitely the most ruthless, willing and destructive to eliminate anything in its way

If Gigalith can destroy a mountain, it can most definitely destroy an entire town. That's already pretty impressive since apparently it takes a whole group of Gyrados to raze one town to the ground. (Based on one of its dex entries)

I disagree with gen 2 because Lanturn should've been the winner, if what the dex said is true, Lanturn could quite literally wipe all of the observable universe

What does the dex say then?

@@BJGvideos says that the amount of energy it produces is enough to light the sea's surface from a depth of 3000 miles, but the sheer amount of energy necessary for that would be the equivalent of just vaporizing the entire universe because water is extremely good at dispersing light

...What about Volcarona? It was a replacement for the sun when the real sun was blocked because of an eruption. It provided light and warmth so that everything could still live without the actual sun. It's one thing if it was just light, but it produced the heat to keep everything going, shouldn't that be something to note?
@moxbby45852 жыл бұрын
Humans are able to heat things past the surface of the sun. Magcargo would likely kill anything within a few meters but not anywhere near the world destroying calamity you seem to think it is. It may be as hot as the sun but it's nowhere near the size
