I picked up the Treehouse last week - found it at a deep discount - and my son and I had a blast building it. Beautiful set that will likely be permanently on display at my house. I'm very interested in the A-Frame Cabin as well, though I don't know if I need two rustic LEGO dwellings in my collection. It is very cool looking, though, so I might look to pick it up closer to the end of the year.

I definitely think you should get the A-Frame cabin. It pairs really well with the Tree House, and the interior details are incredible! It might go on discount around Black Friday.

I think I have all of these that I'm going to get (A-Frame, Treehouse, Jazz Quartet x 2), but I've heard great things about the typewriter, and the globe and Tales of the Space Age both look great.

I’ll try to get the Jazz Quartet before it’s too late, and I’m also considering getting The Office. And yes, the Typewriter is a fantastic set!

The A-Frame and Treehouse would be nice to own if I had infinite money. I'll have to skip on those, though.

You should definitely get at least the A-Frame Cabin. The details are stunning, and it looks incredible. Plus, it’s a bit cheaper than the Tree House. That said, the Tree House is also one of the best Ideas sets!

I´m fairly new to this, so can someone please tell me why the popular A Frame Cabin retires after not even two years out, while the Tree House was out for over five years before retiring? Was the Tree House really that much popular with the buyers? Or is it about something else?

Welcome to the LEGO world! The retirement timeline for sets can vary for a few reasons. While the Tree House had an unusually long run (over five years), most LEGO Ideas sets typically have shorter lifespans, like the A-Frame Cabin. The Tree House was extremely popular, which likely contributed to its extended availability. However, set retirements can also be influenced by factors like production schedules, licensing agreements, and LEGO’s strategy to introduce fresh sets. The A-Frame Cabin's shorter run may just reflect LEGO’s desire to keep the lineup evolving.
