I work at a liquor store in a fairly rough area of the city I live in. My manager is pretty cool with everything as long as we get the work done right so I’ve been getting to tune in to the coney streams a lot more often lately. 21:51 I see Smash 4 Lucas in “Who Is This For?” tier. Well let me tell you. Lucas was the character I played the most in Brawl, but I only started caring about the competitive scene at the beginning of Smash 4. Lucas wasn’t added yet, so I decided to play Mario because I heard he was a good character for beginners. That didn’t last, so for a months I would pick up a new “main” (I just learned that word so I used it a lot) every two weeks or so, drop them, and move on to the next. Everything changed when Lucas was announced. I still have a picture from 2015 of my TV with Lucas’ splash screen on it. To this day, Lucas in Smash 4 is the only dlc character I’ve genuinely been hyped for. I hadn’t played any of the other dlc characters’ games except Steve, who I didn’t want, and Mewtwo, because I didn’t know what it truly meant yet. I watched every Taiheita set. I labbed d throw up air (but not the footstool setups because I’m bad). This character taught me how to space aerials with fair, cross up shields with nair, basically how to play the game. I poured my heart into this character. And then Mewtwo got buffed and I comained Mewtwo Fox for the rest of the game

I always kind of laugh when I think about Pit's existance in Smash. He's an honest character with fundamentals up against characters who can kill you at 60, characters who get rewarded for losing, characters with wild gimmicks that can change a match, and characters with a 5.99 price tag (also known as the "all of the above" characters).

In smash brawl, it was meta knight's world and pit was just living in it. In smash 4, he was mid in a game where anyone below top 10 was feeding on scraps and the best were jankily broken In smash ult, he's good in a game that powercreeped him out of high tier and into mid by characters that cost money. Pit is just the average man; fuedal, medieval and modern.

I've seen broken Pit mains. In Smash 4 one was out to call Roy the worst character in the game because he couldn't handle the comparisons, even labbed Roy to "deconfirm" stuff, to somehow make Pit look better. Wonder how he did when Ult Roy became a thing and Pit was still Pit. That said, I did play the E3 Smash 4 Pit. Best version of Pit I ever played, I understand why he got nerfed before launch.
