Poor Charybdis though, her auto chain and 1 feel so good together, the 3 while fun either has the issue of getting hit while submerged, or aegis every 20 seconds, the 2 is slow and janky, and the ult needs a glowup. But she is one of my favourite hunters to play now because the auto chain feels so fun to use

Her passive, demeanor, and 2 to an extent take cues from her dad Poseidon. Her design and ult are to make her similar to Scylla (effectively her adopted sister) her 1 and 3 obviously take mechanics from other characters but they’re fused with her design well enough that they seem different enough. All together it…. Makes a character that’s for sure 😅, trying to fuse two mages into a hunter is rough and they did it…. Did it well? Good question

I want to throw out a quick honorable mention for those who played in open beta in 2013/2014. Athena, Aphrodite, Nezha, Tyr, Change', Apollo, Poseidon, Eset, Thantos, Sun wukong, Scylla, OG Nuwa and a lot more. Truly one of the most fun and insane times to have played during, I miss those days.

I remember when the Arthurians launched and that was what really hooked me into smite. Smite was pretty niche where you didn't understand the full concept of all the Mythologies out there. Thinking about it. The arrival of the Arthurians opened the flood gates for more Characters outside of pre-established pantheons. We got amazing gods like Cthulhu, More Arthurian representatives, Yoruba, More Voodoo gods, and not to top it off. JAPANESE KAIJU? I'm actually excited to see what low-rez have in house for new god releases. Because count me in if we get another Great Old One.

@@Kallastin Hi-Rez should do new Greeks one time per 6 seasons instead of two per 2 seasons. Is what I want and I could love. There's 24 Greeks and there's no Manticore king on Greek mythology ☠️. Norse is the second pantheon with playable gods on Smite, and it's 16. Greeks has 50% more gods than Norse Pantheon. The Greek pantheon actually is only one of the pantheon that take twice releases in a single year

1:10 If I were to fix Shiva… ⚪️I would make it so that he can chose to enter his Bliss or Destruction states before casting any ability ⚪️I would make it that, as the lord of dance, any time Shiva damages a enemy with an enemy, he can follow up with a complimentary sub-ability (Pillar of Dawn for example would have it’s being Shiva’s current second dash, an AOE pulse that buffs/debuffs allies/enemies, or have his pillar flare up and knock-up anyone too close to him. ⚪️And I would buff his ultimate so that if he gets a kill or assist against an enemy god, his dance automatically refreshes back to full duration, and that each kill/assist in this state shaves off 3 seconds of it’s upcoming cooldown (So a full team wipe would refund 15 seconds of cooldown to his ult). I would also make it so that Shiva Tandava benefits from Samsara… Casting Tandava in Bliss would up yours and your allies (within 25/35 units of yourself) movement speed by 2% and protections by 1% for 10 seconds, refreshing and magnifying upon itself with each step, while casting it in destruction up’s his own power (by 1% per step) and makes his nearby enemies take 1% more damage per step (also refreshing and stacking like in Bliss). ⚪️Having the above would make Shiva a more flexible and involved god overall I hope.

My top three would have to be: 1 - Season 4 2 - Season 2 3 - Season 3 Nostalgia plays some part in this, but overall I think that Smite’s god design was at it’s peak here. Even though new gods were released monthly there certainly were more hits and less misses than with the newer seasons.

Season 8 has literally every god I main (Tia, Gil, Morgan, Atlas, Clio), only Charyb is a letdown but overall, one of the best seasons Smite has ever had, best collab, best skins collection, best gameplay balance.

What's always been crazy to me is that they tried to put 2 abilities on Char that would work on an ability-based hunter while also giving her a unique auto chain that makes her prefer auto-proc items over ability-based items 10/10 times. The design philosophy was entirely wrong from the start.

I was surprised at how some seasons have no gods that I play often and some have most of my mains, like season 2. You say Ah Puch was the weakest that season but I have to disagree, he's my favorite design ever because of the synergy in the kit, there's no other god in the game that has a synergy mechanic like that

The newer seasons tend to be more bloated in terms of their capabilities. I feel like the fun of the video would come from the older seasons and trying to figure out the best combo of 5 to counter the modern day bloat. E.G. Using Xing Tian to beat the basic attackers of season 6, Olorun, Set and Heimdallr.

I didn't start playing until the end of 2014 (Hou Yi was the first god released after I had started playing... wanting to say that Awilix was the current 'new god' when I started, but she had already been released a bit before that). This did remind me of how terrible release Ravana was, although he ended up in a good place. I'm not sure what my favorite season release of characters was, but probably season 2 (due, in part, to nostalgia, since it was the first season that I was around for the whole thing).

I only played smite every now and then and didnt really have any attachment to any season number, but turns out I played mostly in S1-3. And it really shows that S2 had good releases as a lot of what I remember as my favorites like Xing Tian and Amaterasu are from there (outside of my mage mains from before season 1)

It's so surreal to see how the game has shifted. I remember when Ah Puch was considered one of the worst gods thanks to no mobility and no guaranteed CC. Just a raw damage character with a bit of sustain. Now he's a solo lane bully that people are begging to leave lol

I started playing at the end of season 5 (about the time release baron was sucking everyone off too hard) and it’s crazy how fun every season 5 god was. I didn’t even know what gods were new and which were old but I was very quickly drawn to pele and Achilles and baron is my most played mage at this point. My least favorite season 5 god is Arthur, who I still like and is easily considered the most fun by so many players. Besides arguably Hera (who I still like) season 5 was pound for pound unbeatable. Close #2 is season 6. I played Horus so much he was the closest I ever got to having a “main”. Merlin, Jorm, Set and Horus were the best consecutive releases I’ve seen since I’ve been playing. I think that whole 2-3 year stretch was smite at its best

While the current state of the S5 roster is good, I don't know hot it got so highly ranked. That season was comically awful for balance with new gods. Baron was comically strong, hera was so weak pros talked about running pre-rework loki mid over her, and KA was one of the most broken releases of all time.

There's only two Smite releases that made me quit the game for a little while - Susano and Baron Samedi. I've been through it all since Season 1's end. There is absolutely nothing that can compare in absurdity with Baron Samedi release. That god will forever be the bane of my existence for the first 3 months after release. No god has ever reached such disgusting levels of a bloated kit.

Worst to Best to me S10: none of the gods on this Season are on my satisfying top tier list, Surtr and Bake Kujira are on my lower tier. S6: I don't like Yemoja kit as a Guardian kit, it makes feel like im not playing as a guardian. Also Set is kinda hard to dominate with him, making i be so pacific when i play him, making i take hate from my own team. Horus is in my top satisfying tier list. The remaining gods are on the middle tier or below. S2: Ah Puch, Medusa and Old Rat are on my top tier. Bellona and Amaterasu are terrible goddess to me, i havent enjoyed played with them any single time. Actual rat is middle Tier, like the remaining gods of this season. S3: Izanami has no skills, only basic attacks, its makes she a low tier. Nike is low tier but better than Ama and Bellona. Jing Wei low tier. Erlang Shen actually low to middle tier. Raijin is Top tier to me before he took this soft rework on his Ult progression, initial hit on his 2 and cooldown reduction for each auto. His 2 ticks are great and his ult makes me satisfied. Fafnir ult is top tier but if he isnt transformed, low tier. I have fun with Skadi and she is my fav hunter, top tier. Remining gods are on the middle tier. S4:Artio, one of the worst gods to enjoying, his kit is whatever, Cernnunos is in lower to middle tier. Cerberus (my 4th favorite guardian and its my favorite class), Cu Chullain and Discordia are pretty awesome too, these 3 are on top tier. The gods i havent mentioned are on my middle tier (of fun and satisfying) S5: King Arthur carry this Season gods easily,Chernobog and Achilles are on low tier (you only can enjoy as Achilles if you execute someone or stand on the TF for hours). Baron is top tier, Pele and Hera are middle tier S9: Shiva is too satisfying, Lancelot could be Top tier, but isnt enough. This Season has none mistakes, all gods i can enjoy not a lot or not a little, but enough dopamine S8:Atlas, the best guardian ever, Gilgamesh my favorite Warrior. But this season exists Charybdis and Clio (boring and Low tier to make me satisfied) S1:weakest dopamine gods of that season are Rama and Ao Kuang but not low tier. The top tier dopamine to me are Cabrakan,Serqet (favorite assassin) and Janus. S7:Tsukuyomi and Cthulhu dopamine top tier (Cthulhu being my 2nd favorite guardian). Mulan, Danza and Baba are cool but not top tier

This year is worse than last year imo, as evidenced by the fact that Maman and Charon were the only gods played in the qualifiers the last few weeks, whereas Ishtar, Maui, and Lance all saw play. I didn't like any of this years gods all that much whereas I very much enjoyed Maui.

Izanami is a auto attack godess she is a hunter. The only skill that doesn't support her auto attack nature is her ult which is fine because it hits pretty hard. Her 2 slows so she can hit her autos easier her 1 enhances her autos and her 3 gives her a great escape tool that she would be screwed without. What do you mean?

Season two was one of the worst imo. Sol is brainless and only good when its an mage meta. Same with medusa and chirion when its ability hunter meta. Xing is useless. Ah puch is overplayed rn. Season 5 has to be one of my least favorite seasons of Smite. Achilles i love and Pele was a god i would play (i havent played either because i havent played in over a year and just got back into smite within the last 3 weeks). Chernobog is one of my most forgettable gods (even if he is in the match, i forget he exists until he ults or im in lane with him). Baron, while i love his design, he is overshadowed by a lot of other mage releases (Sol, Merlin, Morrigan, and most of all, Persephone), for me. Hera is only memorable because Argus and, imo, only Argus. Remove him and you got a Goddess who is just bland (Her kit is generic except Argus, which acts like an extra god in his own right). Then Arthur... I dont care whatever anyone says, but I dislike Arthur over any other Warrior in the game. He is unique in his kit, but i just find it to be one of the most annoying to use and fight against (I hate Instant Casting, which you cant change on him). The amount of abilities he has maked him annoying to play against because his Damage output is high early game (the crusher made him annoying early game, and even more so when bluestone was brought back in season 8, even though im a Wukong main ). He isnt the reason i fell off of smite (i have just been playing single player games), but my word did i hate his release and even till this day, i hate his current state (he isnt as prevalent, but i still hate his kit).
