Caffeine, spite and the desperate drive to remind ourselves that Friday is just a few more days away. I think only the understanding Monday comes once a week is something that likely keeps a lot of the human race from just mass jumping off bridges. Monday is dread. Friday is hope for reconstruction. And possibly the promise of sleeping in and a drink.
