However, he was constantly brought to situations that ask for risk-taking, being rude, assertive etc. his nature doesn't fit these. Nontheless, 3PO is someone that realy cares for his companions and wishes to do the best, even if that means to worry to much.

Despite his annoying attitude , 3PO did care for his fellows and would do anything to help. His attitude is somehow the byproduct of his basic setting.
