It went to a point where he took out his own intestines and tied it up on a nearby boulder and he fought against that army while he was dying that way. Medb's army was so afraid of approaching him that they didn't even go near him when he practically looked dead. They only went near him when they confirmed he was truly dead after a crow landed on his shoulder. And still his dead corpse managed to kill one soldier before going completely still. He has like the most badass death I've ever heard in history
