Yeah, Star of Christmas is one of their best. The scenes with Mr. Pincher elevate this movie to S tier. I always get teary eyed when I watch the ending, with "O Come O Come Emmanuel" playing and Bob wishing him a Merry Christmas. So glad I saw this as a kid; now I watch it every December.

What I love most about this show in particular is that it can appeal to anyone not just one demographic. Back then Veggietales had a special place in the late 90’s and early 2000’s for me. They told interesting stories and don’t even go preachy with any of the messages that they are showing to kids. What this show does is to help kids become better people in the future but maybe when going back to these as an adult, you will realize that these stories are more important than we realize.

Saint Nicholas really is phenomenal. Last writing credit for Phil in the original series. And maannnn HuHu animation was too beautiful.

I’d never seen Saint Nicholas until last night and really enjoyed it! Our girls grew up watching The Star of Christmas, so the nostalgia is high for me on that one. It is very good in its own right, though!

Although this is a great video, I feel like you should’ve given a chance to this is a meaningful life. I think it was very good and I really like the storing telling also you missed one. It was one of the older ones and although it is a little different than most movies. It should still be on this list but great video overall!

Which version of The Toy That Saved Christmas do you prefer? The original VHS cut or the extended TV cut? I grew up with the TV cut so that’s what I always watch.

@@babygiraffe53 It aired on TV as The VeggieTales Christmas Spectacular, which was about half new content minus Oh Santa and then they played The Toy That Saved Christmas minus the silly song with more new content at the very end to wrap it all up. It was presented as a live Christmas special showing The Toy That Saved Christmas, but they misplaced the film so they had to make up a bunch of stuff to fill time or else the network would just air a rerun of Bonanza. It was very funny. This version was released on one tape along with The Star of Christmas, which would play after. That’s what I grew up with.

It's a Meaningful Life is one of my favorites but I have never seen the original, so I have nothing to compare it.

Please give it a try. I watched it for the first time 6 years ago. I was 14 then, and remember liking it, but as a 20 year old, with a more adult understanding of how things happened, I could watch it again, and it'll hit closer to my heart now than when I was a kid.
