The monsters from Rampage kind of count, albeit they were originally human and became monsters, which can only be seen if you run out of health. There's also Gato Roboto, a metroid-inspired game about a small housecat that, while not being anthro, does get into a robotic .echo suit that gives it a much more anthro design. Spyro was a massive awakening for many furries who love dragons. Tunic also has a furry character protagonist. Whiplash features a talking weasel and a rabbit in an animal testing facility. Literally every Pokémon in Pokémon. They aren't minor characters, especially if they're legendary or mascots. Wolf Link (And Midna) in Twilight Princess are massive characters in the furry Fandom.

Dust and Fidget from Dust an Elysian Tale. It's a beautiful Metroidvania with hand drawn art from the early 2010s, and I love it. It has really great characters and a nice story too!

as someone who is a gamer and a furry i have always been confused by the political rhetoric that gamers get shat all over for. every so often i do encounter a bigot but they're actually rare amongst the community as a whole.

It does very much depend on the community you're in, of course. Like, for MMOs, you're unlikely to run into them in FF14 or GW2, but in WoW you find them now and then, and, if you're playing something like Old-School Runescape, well, the average person you meet is more likely to be a bigot than not. If you do your research, it's at least easy to avoid the communities that tend to be full of them, or be prepared if you want to play the game regardless.

I’m surprised Pokémon didn’t get a mention Lucario, Loppuny, Zoroark, all could be considered furry bait. Basically all the Gen 6, 7, and 8 fully evolved starters all resemble anthros. Mewtwo can talk in the movies, so can genesect, I’m not sure if Gardevoir would be considered a furry but it’s still worth a mention. And then there’s Vaporeon

As a Parappa fan of 5 years, the games mean the world to me and has really changed me as a person so it means a lot for you to talk about it. It’s crazy how a game about a rapping dog and a lesbian guitar playing lamb could change me as a person honestly but I’m glad because I met a lot of amazing people (and my beloved) in the community. Plus, I was able to make my own Parappa OC (the lion you see in my pfp) and become ramgender because of Rammy (Lammy’s doppelgänger) despite her having 1 cutscene. But god that ram is %100 a butch lesbian.

Despite not being mentioned This video reminded me that the game "Dust: An Elysian Tail" is a game that exist, is great, where every single character is a furry... and I need to one day finish my 2nd playthrough of it but in extreme difficulties. I've played both Super Animal Royale (SAR) and Gunfire Reborn with friends and I would say both games are quite fun. SAR is the only Battle Royale-type game I can stand to play and I typically find very generous people within the community. And SAR gets regularly updated with new content as well.

I'm surprised you didn't mention the fact that Miyamoto himself is actually somewhat responsible for Krystal being the most furbait-ey furbait to ever grace video games. When Dinosaur Planet got turned into Starfox Adventures, Imamura pushed for her to remain in the game and Miyamoto and Imamura both agreed Krystal should be sexier since Miyamoto thinks of Starfox as one of Nintendo's more serious IPs.
