I luv Pat for putting Marie in her place, she never holds herself accountable for anything. Everything she does is outta love which is a lie, it’s outta control.

I always thought of all the things Marie has done on the show, what she did at the wedding was by far the lowest and the most despicable. I can never even watched this episode sometime because I’m so disgusted with what Marie did here. it’s like Frank said, all the tension in the family is from Marie.

@@nickjvideos exactly, I wish they did an episode where Ray & Debra split up & Ray had to fight to get Debra back & finally put Marie in her place.
@besmajubran524414 күн бұрын
@andregreen4358, that's actually a great story idea. However, Ray is too much of a mama's boy to stand up for Debra. I'm surprised Debra didn't leave him. If she did, that would make Marie happy enough to let Ray move back into her house.

@@besmajubran5244 I agree w/ u because that’s Marie’s ultimate goal, to breakup Ray & Debra’s marriage & try to have Raymond back in her life again

Good for Pat for saying that to Marie. Someone had to tell Marie what she did wasn’t right. I wished more people would have stood up to Marie like Pat did. She has my respect.

It was very inconsiderate of Marie to interrupt the wedding ceremony how would she feel if someone ruined her funeral service like that?

No matter what Georgia Engel says, it's almost impossible to get angry with her. Her voice and manner are so gentle and sweet. And in this scene she's clearly saddened saying what she did to Marie, but she felt she had to. I think that made her words more impactful on Marie.

The best Marie putdown ever was accomplished by Frank. Naturally, but the severity and brutal honesty of it is what clinches it the top spot. From The Angry Family: You wanna know where all the tension in the family comes from? I'm chained to it. Here she is. And if you're lookin' to find out why she's like this, I'm givin' it to you, for once and for all. You ready? There ! Right there! She (Debra) married him (Raymond)! And this one still can't deal with it!

Yes! Take that, Marie! That’s what she gets because she’s a doggone narcissist! ※\(^o^)/※ Even though I adore Doris Roberts (R.I.P.) but her character is so annoying with her narcissistic tendencies. I’m so glad that this is the best scene of the series where someone calls out on her selfish behavior! 10/10

It was like she couldn’t let a day be about anyone else, unless she borrowed some of the spotlight, because she needed her dose of importance, in anyway she could get it. It’s classic narcissist behaviour.

Technically, The reception would never happen. If someone says anything during the objection, it legally have to be stopped for 24 hours .

Amy and her mother have been the only ones, aside from Debra, to put Marie in her place. Truly a mother daughter team that does not take Marie's bullshit easily. Too bad Amy eventually acquiesced to the Barone Cowardice overtime and fell in line with the rest of them. Doris Roberts was fantastic as the battle-axe mother in law. I really hoped that along with other similar "evil on screen but really nice IRL" portrayals, that she was a sweetheart in her personal life.
@isabelbeckerman9226Ай бұрын
You'd think that with all the controlling and meddling Marie caused her family emotionally fragile she put themselves through, she would respect the ceremonial nuptial of Robert and Amy's vows taking place in the church by keeping her mouth shut and her butt glued to the seat. I love Doris Roberts in this comedy series, and she was absolutely right to play the role of Barone's tyrannical mother/in-law (may she RIP). But DAMN, Marie can be cruel at times, and her testimony where the altar scene took place was unforgivable by making a fool of herself and embarrassing her son on, of all special occasions, his wedding day. What she did was unheard of, and I can understand why Robert had to raise a rouse in front of his mother for her callous actions before the wedding guests. Poor Robert. 😢

Was Marie born that way? Or did it happen over time? Or did Frank’s mother happen?

I would avoid a person like Marie like the plague.
@isabelbeckerman92266 күн бұрын
@@isobelbauch9842 I firmly believe that Marie picked up her narcissistic endeavors from her mother's dysfunctional upbringing growing up at home. Because of that, Marie finds it suitable to control and manipulate the family, especially Debra, to rule under her. As a detestable mother/in law, Marie is a freak of nature, and she's one of television's most insufferable female icons, next to actress Nancy Marchand, who played Livia Sopranos in the HBO series The Sopranos.

I don't think I've actually seen this episode. What did Marie do/say during the wedding?
@brittanyc.454019 күн бұрын
Marie tries to steal the spotlight at the wedding as she’s a hardcore narcissist. Just before the "I Do's", Marie interrupts with an objection. Robert and Amy are shocked, and when Amy asks Debra about it, Debra admits that "this is just the beginning". While Robert and Marie are arguing during the wedding ceremony, Ray realizes they're gonna be a while and sits down. Ray is soon joined by the pastor. The capper is when Marie finally sits down and tells the pastor, "I feel better now. Go ahead, reverend." The pastor and Ray get back into their places and the pastor says in a "what the hell did I just witness?" tone, "Okay, we're back."

What did she say ?
@12Blueace28 күн бұрын
She interrupted the ceremony so she could “pour out her heart” to Robert and Amy, making sure they were doing this because they love each other and not because she forced him into it. When really all she was doing was humiliating them on their special day just so she could feel good about herself.
