As a German I find this video so amusing. In history class in school it is being drilled into us what has happened with Adolf and how it must never happen again EVER! Went to Israel and had the worst experience she’s ever had travelling, constantly being stopped and interrogated by armed police and military because… I’m sure y’all have guessed this now, she apparently looks Palestinian because of her darker features. She went with a group of friends, mostly white, who had an amazing time there. She did not leave with a positive impression of Israel. That was a trip for her think of the actual Palestinians that call Israel home, also being around this much hate and hearing people call for their death daily. When the British took over the territory after WW II, they referred to it as Palestine and they referred to inhabitants as Palestinian Jews, Palestinian Arabs and Palestinian Bedouins. When the Ottoman Empire ruled (1517 - 1917) what was then Ottoman-Syria Muslims received preferential treatment because they were members of the Nation of Islam. Non-Muslims or _Dhimmi_ as they were called were regarded as "lesser nations" and lived under the oppressive hand of Islam. The _Dhimma System_ was an institutionalized legal, social, political and cultural handicaps - "religious and racial discrimination." *Christians and Jews were tolerated, but denied the rights of Muslims.* Their rights, life and property were safe only at the pleasure of the Turkish authorities. They lived an inferior and humiliating position compared to Muslims and were forbidden bearing arms or entering civil service. They were easily recognizable because they had to wear certain colors of dress, headwear and shoes. The Arab Muslim (Palestinian) felt at home in the system and would frequently refer to it as "My Empire." Unless you, and many white European and European Jews at the time didn't consider the people of Palestine, people at all, but some sort of subhuman specimens who could just be politely asked to move away or unceremoniously kicked out if they don't comply to make "safe haven" foe Jews. If Europeans wanted to give Jews a land of their own, they could have sacrificed one of their own ptovinces and areas in Europe, moving their own people out of there to make room for the Jews, or they could have found somewhere where there really was no one living.
