Not a Ham fan, but this is cool to see. It's just that he should have explained that gravity is the effect of mass bending spacetime around it, like a swimmer in the pool bends the water around him as he swims forward. And go on from there explaining why warping spacetime is theoretically possible, but in practise near impossible, and technologically, not feasible for quite some time yet, if ever.

People forget that great F1 drivers are essentially mechanical engineers themselves. Setting up the incredibly complex car is so up to them that they need to know how to communicate extremely complicated phenomena to a team of engineers, so they need to “speak” engineer. It totally makes sense that someone like Lewis is enamored with space flight! This is by far my favorite video Tim has ever done in the 7 or so years I’ve been watching him.

No, he's able to tell the engineers in the team how the car is feeling. Which helps translate to the engineers who are able to adjust the car to that feeling. The drivers are not engineers at all. They are race drivers. Some drivers, like Daniel Ricarrdo have no clue how a car works at all 😂

@Hot-Dog-Racing17 сағат бұрын
@@kitsandham7001 Exactly. I’m not saying he literally holds an engineering degree. I’m saying elite drivers like him study complex engineering data so much that they learn to think like an engineer and understand physics much more than common folk. There are countless stories of people like Hamilton, Alonso and Vettel working late hours after the race in engineering meetings going over extremely complicated data. That’s a lot more than just telling how the car feels. They literally study the data sheets of things like brake and throttle traces, shift points and clutch bite points, and so much more.
