When you roast a piece of salmon properly, the result is so tender that it verges on buttery. Succulent spring onions, cooked with the fish until they're caramelized, are the perfect accompaniment. In this episode of Kitchen Conundrums, Thomas Joseph shows us how to cook allium, and shares the perfect recipe for Roasted Salmon with Mint-Caper Pesto.

@@ZaxorVonSkyler He does have a point though. This show started out as a means of troubleshooting common kitchen problems. It was sort of a show to illustrate technique and trouble points. But it's gotten away from that. I'm not railing against it, but I do think it's notable and alright to criticize.

Just a general request from a big fan of you: Please give your recipes in grams. It’s really difficult to find e.g. 50% of ¾ of a cup of flour.

What vegetable is similar to allium in taste?
@BS-pd9hk
@BS-pd9hk 2 жыл бұрын
Allium isn't a particular vegetable. The term is used in cooking to refer to veggies that are alliums. Allium is the scientific classification category - specifically genus of monocotyledonous flowering plants that includes hundreds of species, including, but not limited to the cultivated onion, garlic, scallion, shallot, leek, and chive.

To be fair he addresses this by saying that the brand they use has less salinity than Morton's. So it's probably not as bad as you think.
