I hope Mom Shoe is doing better & continued prayers for you all. 🙏 I can confirm that there are pre-selected replacements for most items cos I always go in & choose my own replacement on Instacart. (I use it for my Aldi's orders.) However, it will save those replacement choices (as does WM) for the next time. Aldi's is my "Pantry Stock Up" store, where I get 2-3 of each of the seasonings I need, sugar, flour, etc. My every week store is WM since I'm a WM+ member. [Hi Diesel!! 🐕 He's sooo cute!!]

@@Oldshoe88 Some lady got mauled by a German Shepherd earlier this year delivering on Instacart. The customer opened the door and the dog charged at poor the lady. I got bit too doing Amazon years back and had a close call in an apartment complex on Doordash. Just keep yer eyes open and be careful walking into certain places.

What recently happened was an actress from "Law &Order" Angie Harmon dog was shot by a driver. This is probably the ONLY reason the notification happens now because other things have happened but they now decide to implement this

I had to look it up. Crazy situation, and idk who you blame. On one hand, the guy was carrying a gun and maybe looking for a reason to use it. On the other hand she ordered food, and the person delivering might be terrified of dogs. My opinion is, if you know a stranger is comming on your property, have your dog secure. If they do bite a stranger, you’re at fault and often the result is the dog being put down.

I used todo really good on Uber. But I felt DD was busier, and would keep me busy more consistently. Recently I’m lucky to see 1-2 Ubers worth doing a week.

I feel like the pet thing is from when a shopper marks the delivery thumbs down and makes a comment about there being a loose dog or something so that person then gets flagged on future orders and told to secure their pet. I had this the other day and the lady had a Yorkie ankle bitter just loosing its shit at the window while I delivered the bags. This is just a guess, I could be totally wrong.

I was the one that brought that up about refreshing the app! I did that today because I had two back to back $45 batches pop up that I clicked accept, but before I could snag it, it said someone else had received the order (on both occasions) . Well I immediayely went to my profile and went down to my settings and clicked on refresh app, and low and behold the screen refreshed and said "back to batch" meaning I was able to snag it! I found this out because I had seen a 42 dollar order pop up about 3 months ago and I clicked accept, but it said someone else had gotten it. Well 10 minutes later I'm sitting there waiting for a batch to pop up and that notification pops up on my screen saying "we recommend starting shopping soon" and I was so confused. So I went to my profile and clicked on settings and refreshed the app, and it said I did have the order all along! It was somehow glitching on my end but I learned from that you can try and snag batches that way after doing it for months now.

I have gotten that specific comment… but more the more recent hate is on DD short videos. With titles that says $2 tip, and in their mind I am crying about not making enough money… it’s funny, because if I just titled the video $6 doordash it would get 1/3 of the views and zero hatred.

@@cheffreyb.9192 I mean I sit at home and get these orders... First of all you it will be rare to see big orders until you get Diamond cart. And you need to be in the parking lot of the store. try to get orders that pay close to $1 per item, and $2 per mile. that will help you not spend to much time shopping and ensure your earning enough for the mileage you put on your car. but you also dont want to sit around all day waiting for orders.

I mean idk your experience with UE recently. But I have become hesitant to turn it on, and when I do I often turn it off after looking at 3 orders I would never consider. And everyone else I watch who makes videos says the same. So I did assume that more people are using the app less. It was really just me trying to explain that I don’t understand how I had a really good day delivering for UE.
