I don't know if I'd agree with you. It feels a little low in calories and protein to me. His choice of vegetables and organic produce is really good tho, u would struggle to be nutrient deficient on this diet which is good. But I'm quite tall so this diet wouldn't help much I'd lose mass and lose a lot of friends due to my mood.

Jesus is Fake I was an all-state wrestler and I cut weight all the time back then. It sounds like this is what Jordan eats when he’s training, if not all the time (he’s probably always training anyway). He’s smart about weight cutting, which is why his diet is so clean and that he’s so lean, so that at the end he only needs to shed several lbs of water weight. He keeps himself healthy, lean and stable all the way up to where he needs to dehydrate himself for weigh-ins, which is how it should be done. It sounds like he’s always hovering at around 170.

I've been eating a very similar diet for about 6-7 weeks now. The smoothie in the morning is almost the exact same, I just skip the almond butter. Starting the day off with plant protein feels great, even if you're not vegetarian, I'd give it a try. A diet like this is sustainable, surprisingly cheap, and doable. @@pagopagojt0740 ur wrong and right. Anyone can achieve an OPTIMAL version of THEMSELVES, the genetic part is a major factor. You could train like JB and eat like him too but I guarantee you won't look like him. That's why all UFC fighters, weightlifters and athletes in general all look the same despite the fact that they're all eating similar food groups in similar ratios whilst training equally as hard. Brian Domski That diet cannot he maintained for a “couple weeks”. His body would absolutely crash. For a couple days maybe sure to reach ketosis for a short period of time to drain water quickly. If he kept that diet for anything longer than 4-7 days his body would atrophy so bad it would be funny.

Kaas Kiis Old is relative. Randy Couture started at 34. Hendo started in his 30s and they both fought well into their 40s at a high level. It all really depends on the athlete. DC started in his 30s. Anderson Silva didn’t get to the UFC till his mid-30’s. Athletes are getting bigger, stronger, faster, and smarter. That’s because of technology, supplementation, training methods, nutrition, and psychological training. At the end of the day it really comes down to will, desire, and heart. All those other things I mentioned are there if the athlete chooses to go forward.

Hello. I'm a sports nutritionist and I can say for sure that you are in a negative nitrogen balance with this diet. You'll be losing muscle, which I would think isn't ideal in your sport. I would reccomend around 1.6-2g of protein pr. Kg. Bodyweight for ideal performance. For you this would be around 160-180g of protein pr. Day. I'd estimate that The current diet you're eating, is giving you around half of that amount. Around 80-90g of protein pr. Day. Which is likely insufficient.

There's no way in hell this is all he eats. He's a pro athlete burning a ton of calories during wrestling practice. Even if he's cutting weight that's starvation diet for him, he wouldn't have enough energy to even walk, he was be borderline dying. This might be what he eats the day before weigh ins but not on your average day because this is 1,500 calories maximum. I eat almost 4,000 calories a day to maintain my weight and I'm not a pro athlete. I go to the gym and train martial arts along with having an active job. But I'm still not burning the calories he is given his longer and more grueling training sessions. Why post a video that's a lie? I don't get it. What does he gain from deceiving others?

Bane totally true, i also lift and train BJJ and this diet is definitely not sufficient for a pro athlete. I think the answer may be that it's published by men's health, all I've ever seen them focus on is 6 packs and "toning" your body, never credible real performance information. Most pro athletes or high level guys will be eating a shit tonne of carbs to fuel training 3 times a day.

@@Kb11466 Exactly. I don't like how Jordan sold out though. He was definitely paid big to advertise this bullshit diet. I doubt he would deceive everyone for free. But after writing this comment I did some more digging and came across a video from 2012 of his real diet which consists of a lot of food including junk like pizza and ice cream. I'll post the video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iZm5ZWZ6ZptneMU

E to the Dawg watch the video of his actual diet at the olympic training center from 2012. This video is a total farce. No olympic level wrestler could thrive off this caloric intake.
@bane3991
@bane3991 4 жыл бұрын
@@AManCalledDutch No, but that doesn't change the fact that he's going through grueling workouts that would require much more than 1,500 calories. This is just basic biology. The average man can lose weight on 1,500 calories. The average man is sitting down all day at a job and going home watching tv. Picture an olympic athlete. Plus, watch the video I posted in my previous comment. It's his REAL diet where he goes around eating a lot of food including junk. This video is fake.

I'm a submission wrestler and I can tell you his food is too low and there's no way he eats this little on the average day. His training sessions are much more intense than mine and I eat around 4000 calories a day to maintain my weight. In this video he's showing 1500 calories, max. He wouldn't be able to survive workouts eating that little. I believe this might be what he eats the day before weigh ins without a practice that day.

I wrestled my whole life and theres no way this is enough protein or calories in a day for an olympic wrestler. Also, theres no way he walks around only 7-8 pounds over his weight class lol more like 12-15 pounds over

I wish people would stop acting like they know everything about everything..He probably eats this shit on a rest day..You can't train as hard as he does at an Olympic level and eat those little calories and expect to recover optimally..It's a nice little spin if you're trying to lose weight and just started working out but not for a top notch high performance athlete
