What am I talking about?
In this video I am speaking about the working principle of the K-Jetronic although that's not the sphere of my interest but it's an on demand video. The K-Jetronic is the first and original type of what is later going to be KE-Jetronic with K-Lambda system in between. The K-Jetronic system was present in Mercedes R107 in the SL class, W126 S class - M110 engine only, W116 in the S class and in the W123 in the until than still not declared as E class. Concerning the KU/KA-Jetronic or simply K-lambda system - that's actually the K-Jetronic system with the lambda probe for Swedish and US market because of the ecological requirements in California. This K-lambda system was present in the R107 380SL and W116 450SEL. I am not talking about the working principle of the system because it's identical to the KE-Jetronic system - the way fuel and air are being distributed to the cylinders, I am speaking only about some parts which were predecessors of the EHA valve, the warm-up regulator, the way the pressures are being measured and about the nominal values for the pressures which are NOT the same like on the KE-Jetronic system as well as about some parts which are obsolete in the KE-Jetronic like the fuel damper for example, the thermo-time switch, auxiliary air valve. The system is more reliable than the KE-Jetronic system if driven regularly because the electronics is almost non existent, just pure mechanics which means that the only part which has to be replaced are the injectors. Which one of them was ore popular and which one you prefer K- or KE-Jetronic, it's up to you to decide and until then
