In light of the train, I think it's positioning. In ww2 after the car crashes its just you on the ground with the protagonist safety bubble watching the train crash go on and on. Where as in mw3 the length was used while still avoiding danger in the vehicle, sure we survived but the effort felt earned by the characters.
@reecedignan83652 жыл бұрын
Plus another thing I think helps the one in MW3 is it doesn’t look like a cutscene. Your still able to control your character and the fast pace of the car and mission at this point are at their chrgshendo meaning it would of probably been a bit weird of the train just slowed down and it went from MENTAL -> soft instantly vs having it crash through the area and us crashing into it, brining said chase to an end and giving the nice round down in adrenaline. The one in WW2 already ends with the car chase, having the train maybe hit the shed and stop/derail slightly would be all that’s needed, but having it crash and flip train cars everywhere while your character lies there in a pre-rendered cutscene at what feels like the end of a mission, just kills the adrenaline and excitement immediately.

Yet another example of how Shepherd and his actions continue to cause chaos and death even from beyond the grave, albeit on a much more personal level losing Soap, and I love it.

Bit of a correction on the BO and MW timelines being canon with each other. So far, only Black Ops 1, Cold War, Modern Warfare 2019 and Modern Warfare II are confirmed to be within the same universe. Black Ops 2's 1980s missions and Vanguard MIGHT be canon, but no hard confirmation. The old MW and BO timelines were kept separate from each other. Other than that, I love these videos :) Edit: As of writing (11/4/2024), the confirmed stories (or a version of them) to be a part of the new COD Timeline are (in timeline order): World at War (extended from Reznov's inclusion in BO1), Vanguard (happens concurrently, Zombies included), Black Ops 1, Cold War (Zombies included) Black Ops 2's 1980s missions, Black Ops 6 (Zombies included), a version of "All Ghillied Up" and "One Shot, One Kill" from the original COD4, MW2019 (Spec Ops included), Warzone (up to Vanguard S2, afterwards is non-canon crossovers, takes place in 1980s between CW and BO2 and 2020-2021), MWIII Zombies (takes places in 2021), MWII (2022), MWIII (2023)

This game is my favorite COD game of all time. The story, the characters, the combat. All of it. Every time I come back to this game, I flash back to the first time I played it, and then to all the memories I have with my brothers playing this masterpiece

Went away to college in AZ in 2011. One night I went out late to a 24hr wal mart to grocery shop and saw people waiting in line near the electronics section and it turned out to be the midnight release of MW3. I bought a tv and a copy and had the time of my life. MW3 holds a special place in my heart 🫡

Mw3 is my favorite campaign. Everything felt so desperate. I replayed this a month ago and let myself be immersed by the game. There were so many, "oh fuck" moments too. And Dust to Dust is my favorite COD mission ever.

Man I loved Mw3 infected always got so intense and the survival was fun as hell. The multi-player was also great and fun to play with friends

Delta's (Team Metal) sacrifice at the end of the mine mission is surprisingly emotional and also not talked about as much, especially if you've been immersed in the campaign. Sandman wasnt the most charismatic character, but he's a modern warrior and competent leader and reliable teammate, and you literally fought in the trenches with him in WW3, so there's an attachment there from a player perspective. You (Frost) and Sandman fought through hell on the frontlines of WW3 just to accomplish your objectives for the greater good, but you're the only one that made it back home.

"Good one team, that´s one for the books" "Easy day overlord, Out" Those 2 lines are FUCKING AWESOME. Balls of steel and all. It´s just like they are doing a daily chord, not like the whole world destine was in his hands.

The Biggest memory for me when it comes to MW3 is the survival mode, I remember when I would spend the night at my friend's place and just having a blast with us 2 fighting against a whole army.

And thus the Main Trilogy is Complete~ I've only been watching since about a couple days ago, but putting this in the background before was a treat to hear while doing work, but with this, nah I stayed for the whole ride, MW3 had that big "Laugh and Smile when your Younger, Nod and Hold the Tears when your Older" moment back in my early gaming years, getting to be a part of the Trilogy from start to finish it just felt so good, not to mention how intimate the campaign gets with the characters, it really makes you feel like your with this guy's in this story, emotion, pacing and story beats fucking Wonderful! Bravo for this video and to Sledgehammer as well as IW for making this badass game

My best memories with MW3 was the 1v1s and 2v2s on Erosion and Aground, I played there so much, so many memories, I even remember how a person helped me get gold camo on my acr, because the weapon can level up from lvl 30 to 31 with headshots only, so he helped me get those headshots and i still remember it to this day, even after like 8 years.

I played the first two before the new MW II came out, (played the third first when I was younger) and loved how playing the first two made the events of MW 3 make more sense. If I had one regret, it was not playing the first two beforehand to get the actual gut punch that was Soap’s final moment the way it was meant to be felt.
