One thing I love is how there’s a lot of things in the show that seem silly at the moment, but serve an actual purpose. Ameri and her father having overactive imaginations is because of their bloodline ability. Balam believes Iruma instantly because he’d know if he was lying. Ronove’s powers actually having a purpose in battle.

Something you missed on win 266, Balam's reaction to iruma dodging this rocks is of surprise and shock and he knows Iruma is human, while Sarbonock and Asmodeus are of both "That's my rival" and "As expected of Master Iruma".

I forgot many of these moments like the family evaluations and the Clara sleepover, but they’re still wonderful. One aspect I think Iruma does better than MHA is the class dynamic. As you said MHA and Iruma both do the shining a spotlight on the other classmates occasionally before going back to the main trio, but I think Iruma does is somewhat better due to the reduced class size they are able to keep the class more relevant in more scenes.

True. Class 1a has like 20 students whereas the Misfits have 13 students so the bond feels more tight with Iruma and his classmates and the story is able to give time for each of the classmates to some degree, whereas with Class 1a we don't have the time. It also helps that at least no one really outright hated Iruma whereas Deku had Katsuki to deal with, and the overall stake seems higher with My Hero Academia than Iruma-kun.

​@@stevel.3425 there are in total 265 chapters, season 1 and 2 got up to chapter 94 and they skipped chapters 90, 91 which could be included in season 3. I highly recommend to wait for season 3 first which starts on 8th october and only then start reading the manga after completing it. season 3 will include 90, 91, 95-147 chapters

i really love how secretive opera is, too. up to this point (about chapter 95 with a few skipped chapters because they are enjoyable fillers), opera is referred to as they/them instead of he/him or she/her. the mangaka has yet to reveal their rank, height and weight, which are known for iruma, clara, asmodeus, ameri and kalego. it builds a nice mystery element (along with clara not using her wings and her adventuring dad) and keeps us hooked.

You know, this anime doesn't really do anything particularly unique or go against the curve with its story. But it does what it does very well and avoids the pitfalls of many similar shows. And I think that really helps it. Its the kind of story many anime watchers are familiar and thus comfortable with, but done very well, leaving you feeling good about it. Just goes to show you don't need some crazy new idea or to go completely against the grain to have a very good show.

My main thing about learning what Ameri's ability is, that potion that caused her to become more shy basically robs her of any ability to fight back and that's terrifying. Her power is tried to get self confidence and I'm this fight we get to see how she bolsters that ideal. She is strong, and she is powerful, but she sings along with an idol sing to reaffirm her cuteness as a girl.

Just on a note from a mangareader, the last two events are actually the other way around as his trip with Sullivan is where Iruma learned the spell to carry Ameri. Also, there were actually two more event one with and one without Iruma.

Clara and her family’s humor is a very tricky type of humor to use. It’s really easy to over use it and make them feel annoying but this show handles it perfectly. It never feels annoying and only ever endears you to them more. I’ve rarely ever seen it done THIS well.

I love the meeting of the harem scene not just because they are all ridiculously cute but each of them are honest about their feelings for the most part. In anime's like this there is always a main girl and the aspiring hopefuls who you know have no chance, but in this one there is an open field Ameri, Clara, Keroli, and Elizabetta all have an equal shot at our wholesome manlet. Even the glimpses of the future leave it in doubt who "wins" or if all of them do.

I have watched both seasons three times now, and I still find little amazing details that show the insane level of care and attention the production team and voice cast put into this show. RANDOM HUMOR FOR THE WIN!!!! Also, another thing that I thought was win-worthy was Ameri's dad's reaction to her date. His knee-jerk reaction is very typical of the standard overprotective anime dad (a balanced mixture of anger and despair) but he never even thinks to stop the date. He doesn't try to stop Ameri from going or follow her or try to sabotage their date. While it makes him sad that she's dating, he lets Ameri make her own decisions. Ameri is his little princess but he still treats her with respect because she is her own person. Just a nice little subversion of the trope that I appreciated. 👍

Honestly, I wouldn't even call Ameri's dad "overprotective". He knows Iruma is a good boy, he doesn't think of him as a danger to Ameri. He's just having trouble accepting that his adorable little girl is all grown up now.

Win #278. I love how he didn't just give a generic pose, or ignore the camera. He wanted a picture, then went all out with it 😂. The way he was pretending to be too cool for photographs, just reading his book and playing with his hair next to the monster he defeated, when it was his idea. Nvm the big battle, the real memory they'll always have, is the day their scary teacher actually relaxed with them for once, and was just one of the boys. Even if it was only for a few minutes.

I'm super looking forward to season 3 because of a few scenes in particular. Unfortunately as someone who watches both sub and dub, Asmodeus will probably never feel the same for me, but I still want to enjoy the incredible voice acting on both sides.
