I agree with everything you said, but I think one more thing should be added: a few classic sounds. Nothing will bring back nostalgia better than the classic shield beeping and regeneration sounds. It's a simple and subliminal way to make classic fans enjoy the game.

The sound design needs work, will agree on that. Why are wraiths deathly silent now when they were so loud in older games AND you could hear their plasma coming at you from a mile away? Even 4 managed to do the latter. The classic Halo 2 sound of ghosts should also be brought back. If you cant get the H2 banshee sound, at least use the one from H4

My opinions The old art style. For the love of god the old art style. ARMOR CUSTOMIZATION. PLEASE GOD ARMOR CUSTOMIZATION Playable elites that you can make as a main. Like why do I HAVE to play as UNSC? And Like your spartan, WITH the halo 2 and 3 old armours, that can be customized Bring back the brutes, AND marines, make the environment feel alive with npcs of variation, not just spawn a bunch of crawlers All the old weapons, carbines, beam rifles, old shotguns, variations of Ar’s (reach, one, and 5 ex) or other weapons All the old vehicles. Looking at you Spectres, choppers, revenants, falcons, hornets, prowler, Shadow’s, Scarabs, Elephants, Seraphs, Sabers, Longswords, and of course the forklift MAKE IT VIOLENT. I loved beating the utter crap out of corpses in halo 3 and reach. I loved seeing the blood spatter and the gritty intense trama of scarred and damaged enemies and soldiers, make them curse and swear. I guarantee you that if a hunter was coming your way you wouldn’t say hello. Adding to violence, bring the flood back. Halo has something super unique with that right there. Idc how many people hate it but it’s on another level. Imagine how freaking dark, creepy and scary seeing a marines facial bone structure and skin break and split apart inside out from an infection form tearing into his spine with today’s graphics. The flood is meant to be terrifying and messed up because they’re a mindless hive mind. They could even use that as a main selling point if done correctly. It’s like dead space got drunk and slept with left for dead. It’s pretty cool, I remember being super freaked when I first met the flood in halo 2. High charity mission anyone? Make it M rated. I hate playing with 10 year olds who think they’re op because they got helioskrill in a lucky drop, maybe that won’t change anything but I’ve never seen halo as a T rating, for people to go out and buy and say oh hey look, space guns and aliens. just watch halo legends you’ll see what I mean when I talk about violence. Ex episodes: The Babysitter, Homecoming, And prototype. The req system is okay.. but no shit armours that don’t make sense, and no overmass of emblems. Add all of your content at once please.. don’t make me wait again. Period. Like he said in the video. If you need squads in campaign don’t make them 10x overpowered than the MC and have them getting in the way 24/7 And in general, bring back original looking drop pods, regular looking soldiers and ODST, old enemies along with new, old armours that we don’t need to buy, better A.I, better maps, old maps, more ammo, no thrusters or ads, and if so tone it down, and idk if it’s just me but stop trying to make Locke and his squad a main focus it feels very forced. Make likeable characters. Bucks ok but everyone id probably kill for their gun If i could 😂 A lot of people ask for the same things and I’ve been a halo fan ever since CE. I’ll always buy halo games but I’m starting to think it’s time to call it quits. If halo 6 can’t AT LEAST be better than 4 and 5 I will have lost all hope for an awesome series that left a sour taste in my mouth because of a greedy company who’s more focus on req packs than their core player base

NO. NO REQ PACKS. NEVER HAVE REQ PACKS. THEY ARE A DISEASES AND NEED TO BE REMOVED. Halo 4 was ok but some sections of the plot were too convoluted, the art style was not great, and stupid armour abilities were still there. The levels were just too linear in Halo 4 but at least it was a decent game. Its successor on the other hand needs to be retconned.

They really messed him up by making him salty about Locke volunteering to kill him. Halo 2 and 3 Arby was never offended by humans hating him, he understood exactly why they did. Also, the weird reptilian aesthetic they have going for him is just another drop of the infinite waterfall of cringeworthy artwork.

iSayUhhhhh to build off of what you have, maybe even letting us Select a certain characters for certain missions, give them unique dialogue with other characters and the environment, and heck throw in multiplayer selection choices for some comical combos. ex. Buck and Arbiter.

Here's something else Halo 6 needs to do: DROP THE CALL OF DUTY MECHANICS. Grenade indicators, weapon scope styles, springting, advanced warfare mechanics on multiplayer, loadout, etc. It's just insulting when game developers give up their own identity and clone another one to invite another community. Just insulting.

Playable Elites back plz, also, dual wielding, split screen, playable Flood game mode, ODST style campaign (The ambiance and music in ODST was mesmerizing) and of course all game modes on day one. Halo Reach style armour customization, and a more diverse weapon modification system (without OPing the weapons *this is only a dream*).

agreed. Elites are supposed to be somewhat gracefull elite warriors. Currently they are just clumsy gorillas that Hulk-Smash their way through life, they're awfull. And while we are at it, revert the Spartans too. Those ultra popping colors and freaky helmet styles make them look like badly colored plastic-soldiers. The MJOLNIR armor is supposed to be intimidating, not a 6 year old comic-fans first cosplay.

After playing Halo Wars 2, I honestly wouldn't mind putting Chief and Cortana's story to bed, and start off on a new journey with Jerome and Isabel. Like imagine playing the mission in HW2 where Jerome boards the Banished, but in a FPS style. You fight off wave after wave of Banished enemy. At the end you plug Isabel into the firing control panel. And then the mission ends with that badass HW2 cutscene. Like that's old school Halo right there. I hope those two buddy up and we see more action from them.

What 343 needs to do most is finish the fucking game BEFORE they put it on shelves. It can't be everything to everyone, but this "shove it out the door then patch it together" nonsense is killing gaming. It's not just 343 that is guilty of it, but seeing as they are the Xbox flagship developer, selling the Xbox flagship title, they simply must do better. If BumfuckNoOne's studio releases a bad game, who cares? But when 343 ships a Halo game with minimal content and riddled with bugs while missing key features, it's like an old friend has told me to go to Hell. Again I say; they simply must do better. You touched on this, but I feel like you were a bit too nice. Halo 6 is their last chance with me. I skipped Halo 5 when they left out split-screen. I have never skipped a Halo game. I bought the original Xbox FOR Halo. Skipping 5 didn't feel like not buying a game, it felt like I'd been defeated by a malevolent force who hated me. I want to come back, but the lead-up to the game has to give me hope. And if I do end up buying Halo 6, it better be a finished product with a fun campaign and good multiplayer. I'd like FireFight back, but at this point I'd take the 2 basics of solid story and solid mutliplayer with Split-Screen so I can play with my best friend in the same room with me.

Amen, you put the hatred I felt into words. I bought an OG Xbox back in the day after seeing Halo at a friend's party. Not just any OG Xbox, the clear green Halo special edition. I had TONS of fun in multiplayer, and the campaign blew me away. (pun intended, play Halo 2 if any of you don't get it.) Halo 2 is the reason why I believed in Xbox live. When I learned that "wait, you mean I can play Halo with anyone in the world, without them needing to come to my house? SIGN ME UP NOW." When 343 took control, I felt a bad feeling in my gut. Then Halo 4 came out. It was okay, it wasn't Halo 3 or Reach levels of awesome, it was seriously lacking and flawed in many ways, but it showed hope! Until Halo 5. Fucking hell...that game felt like 343 grabbed me by the balls, and busted my jaw with a sharp uppercut. "Yeah, you like that original, fun sandbox feel of Halo? FUCK YOU, it's COD:AW now. How do you like that bitch? Oh what's that, you wanna play splitscreen with your buddy? Go fuck yourself sideways! BUY ANOTHER XBOX ONE AND XBOX LIVE. You liked the diversity of enemies, and how each one looked, played, and acted unique? Hah! You can't be fucking serious! Here! Bland, boring enemies whose design we totally didn't steal from a certain movie about robots that turn into cars! Oh, and get this. You didn't like that shitty QTE nonsense in Halo 4? 50% OF THE GAME IS QTE SEQUENCES AND SHITTY FP CUTSCENES YOU CANNOT SKIP."

Agreed. Halo 5 was the first Halo game I refused to purchase. The series has been so sullied I doubt it can return under the current leadership. It's unfortunate to see Stockholm's Syndrome setting in on some people, but Christ... it wasn't funny in Halo 4 and it's still not funny now. They NEED to get their shit together. I haven't felt one bit of joy or happiness from a Halo game since the day I stopped playing Reach in 2015. Halo 4 was honestly just strange to me. I remember it arriving the day of my Year 12 graduation, so beforehand I popped it in and played a little. Got through the first level then had to leave. Hadn't really experienced any FUCK YEAH moments and was just annoyed that the Covenant were simply back with no explanation. I don't give a shit if the Remnant is better described in the EU. It was a massive insult to anyone who's followed the Covenant and the Great Schism through Reach-ODST. Unacceptable. This lowered quality is well beyond a toxic level. I also kind of agree Act Man was too soft at this point, I can't help but feel that his optimism is misplaced and unjustified. When have they ever shown a propensity to give a fuck about any of us? As basic consumers or as fans? They're reintroducing split screen because of the punishing pre-orders, low sale numbers and lack of online multiplayer preservation. Good. I hope they got hurt with Halo 5. They deserve to be as hurt, just as the fans were. This dicking around and sole act of public masturbation via the introduction of Requisitions and the arrogant, simply arrogant way in which they just refuse to add old, well established gameplay types. Why isn't Invasion still in the game? Why does the game look like a garish mess? What's up with the weird writing and lack of character development? Even from an economic perspective the higher ups have to see that the series is creatively bankrupt and impotent. The worst thing though, after all this time - is that I'm still angry. I'm still angry about everything they've done. The series was such an entwined fabric of my childhood that it's honestly sickening to think about what it's become. I didn't even purchase Halo 5 purely out of my contempt and disbelief in their ability to manufacture a decent experience. One of my friends decided to buy it, and he readily told the rest of us to simply come over and play it at his place, rather than give 343 more sales. Gladly. Of course the lack of split screen meant we all had to sit in a room, playing one at a time, criticising the game and mocking the terrible dialogue, un-introduced characters and cringeworthy character motivations ..... just like Bungie intended..... The stand out trash moment in Halo 5 (apart from the fucking Warden repeat fight which is beyond unacceptable and actually makes me think 343 has a sense of humour and knows we know they don't give a shit) was the first encounter with the Hunters. Your useless 'squad' perishing like children, your gun running out of ammo in the first 2 minutes, the lack of flinch or any visible weakness, die - rinse- repeat, the horrible colour pallet of dark grey and green. Made me think back to the first time you encountered Hunters in other games. You're no hero in 343's Halo. You're Customer No. 117.

@Giga419 I know how you feel about Halo being entwined through your life. I spent 2 years working on a Halo fan comic (A.H.C.S. if you're wondering). Not for money, I just loved the game and loved being part of the community that surrounded it. Being a member of the HBO forums was an honor. Spending time with folks who came together over a shared love of something rare and wonderful. Turning our in-jokes into cartoons that people liked made my day even though it was a lot of work for zero compensation. Halo WAS my 2007 and 2008. When I wasn't playing Halo 3 I was working on the Halo comic or talking to fans of the game on Rooster Teeth's site or on HBO. It was like a club that was there for anyone, from die-hard story fans to froth-at-the-mouth multiplayer kill streakers and all were welcome. Now I'm just one more lost sale as far as the current Halo caretakers are concerned. Not that I expect they even noticed. I ended up being invited into the Halo Community Feedback Program, where they send you surveys every so often and try to get a read on how folks are feeling about the game. I can only imagine what goes on at the other end of that survey when I turn mine in. Because I write with passion and fire about how much I hate what they've done to the franchise. How they have only taken from Halo and given nothing to it. I almost feel bad for the poor intern who has to delete my response before their boss sees it so that no one there has a clue what's really going on. They must bear the weight of my disdain alone (lol, as if anyone at 343 gives a toss). And what's worse about those surveys is they've basically become a series of questions about the damn microtransactions more than anything. I'm not supposed to discuss those or whatever, but I'm far beyond giving a bag of beans whether they kick me out or not at this point. Anyone with eyes can see they just want to find out how much cash they can gouge from the players with the way the surveys are worded. I guess they must think the average Halo player is too stupid to catch on. I have to stop writing this, I'm working up a pretty nasty Mad-On right about now. Take care friend. Maybe we can play some Reach co-op some day. :)

My list: 1. Splitscreen 2. Duelwielding 3. All of the current spartan abilities (they were awesome), but no more new ones 4. Falcons 5. Cortana has the logic plague (is being influenced by the flood after being captured between halo 2 and 3) 6. Unique Reach weapons such as needle rifles (those were badass) 7. More Chief (we play as chief in Halo 5 for 3/15 levels. UNACCEPTABLE) 8. Driving pelicans, Phantoms, Sabres, other exotic vehicles 9. Keep Forge as it is (Halo 5 Forge was the best Forge) 10. How about they kill off one of Blue Team's Spartans and give us a playable Arbiter. This makes it easy to have playable elites in multiplayer and can make interesting moments in the campaign. Like if you're the one playing the Arbiter, you can tell your friends to hang back a bit as you sneak behind whatever you're about to fight and start in the encounter with a strategic advantage.

I agree with a lot of what you’re saying, but I disagree with the movement options. I LOVE creative movement in games, I love the ability to do a bunch of creative stuff with movement, like climbing up a ledge, jumping and jetting over a group of enemies, then ground pounding them all. That’s really cool to me. What I hope 343 does is keep the great movement options, but balance them a bit more. But anyway, all round great video!

I sometimes wish that I could go to 343's Head Office for a day and list EVERY single thing I would like to see in Halo 6 such as... duel wielding making a return and a Halo game where we can actually play as the Chief from start to finish. Playable Elites, the Flood also returning and split screen at full 60FPS. I think there should be a setting where you can change the control scheme back to how it was in the classic days of Halo so old players (like myself) can relive a bit of the early days of Halo 1, 2 and 3. These are just small improvements and suggestions that 343 will never see and go on to make another money grabbing game that will kill the franchise even more... :(

Since there is the option for having female spartans in Halo 5 multiplayer, if Halo 6 has playable Elites it'd be interesting to be able to play as a female Elite. Female elites were teased sorta in Halo 5 with Mahkee 'Chava, who is never actually seen because I suppose if 343 didn't have the resources to give Arbiter a unique model to represent his differentiation from the other Elite subspecies, they also didn't have the time to make a female elite character model. Seeing Elites of both genders would be nice and flesh out the species more and help show how non-covenant Sangheili are breaking free from the military traditions of the Covenant and all. It's a plausible addition to Halo 6 so I thought it was worth mentioning.

what we need in halo 6 based on what you mentioned: forge: forge world, this is the one map that NEEDS to be in every halo game, this was the best map ever released for not only forge but halo in general, remember how many maps we had in reaches matchmaking that bungie had made just with that map and forge alone? that was amazing! playable elites: playable elites, nothing else really to say apart from let us customise them as much as we can customise our spartan, which better be as much as halo 4 let us microtransactions: no invasion: invasion was amazing, nuff said art style and overall designs: get rid of that shitty rocket launcher you tried to replace the SPNKr with you heretics, and for god sake stop using your shitty armour designs, i dont care if the way you design your armour is "more realistic" because of how acrobatic spartans can be, (which in my opinion it isnt) the last thing we come to halo for is realism, the old armour look was amazing, with this i mainly have a grudge against how the under armour looks, it looks like shiny spandex and because the under armour copys your main colour in big areas you can barely even tell what armour someones using when you look at them, and shoulder armour no longer has the right to be called that because it isnt on your shoulder anymore, its on your upper arm and most of it doesnt even reach the shoulder things that need to make a return: basically everything, the chopper, elephant, all the previous vehicles, weapons and stuff, and previous armour if they can, ide love the original recon look, and the hayabusa armour, and hey! if you bring hayabusa back, you can have your precious variants in the form of a katana variant! actually thinking about it, if you were to have all previous versions of armour designs, like original recon, reach recon and your... meh recon with the sticking out forehead, you could make variants out of different versions of armour from previous games, and... you know... maybe have the helioskrill armour in halo 6 as well? you might have made some shit armour pieces in halo 5, but helioskrill was fucking brilliant

I wonder if Halo 6 could include not only playable Elites once more, but playable Prometheans? The knights are probably too slow and bulky, but the Promethean soldiers are humanoid and have a decent amount of variety. Also, for the Elites, I think it would be great if they included both the new Elite ranks (Storm, Warrior, etc.), as well as the older ranks (Spec-Ops, General, Minor) as well as Halo 3's armor. It's a lot, yes, but if they were able to implement it, I think it would be some great personalization and variety.
