The 5090 will be over $2K easily. With how much VRAM it has and how much more power it's wielding over the 5080, it's kinda in the "prosumer" range and is likely going to be $2500+ with an intended audience of professional editors, renderers, or AI trainers being the target audience, not gamers.

Yeah the RTX 5080 is pathetic next to the 32 GB GDDR7 behemoth RTX 5090! Lets just be honest, if NVIDIA doesn't rightfully buff the RTX 5080 GPU to at least 24 GB of VRAM, it won't sit well with customers because NVIDIA gimped the RTX 4080 initially until the RTX 4080 Super! 16 GB of GDDR7 VRAM is laughable for true 8K gaming or content creation, which the RTX 5090 will easily handle. Don't even get me started on the RTX TITAN AI GPU, which is 63% rumored faster than an overclocked RTX 4090 and 10% faster than the RTX 5090 rumored for 2025! Honestly NVIDIA we beseech you, beg you, please just do it, buff the RTX 5080 to 24 GB of VRAM, and lower the price slightly, you will easily sell triple the volume.

I’m confident that because the strike is already going on, it will be resolved way before CES in January 2025. I don't really care if there's a 5080 Ti 24GB when it costs a whopping 1600€ and the regular 5080 16GB will be 1300€ all the while the 5070 will have like 12GB max but still cost like 1100€ with a 5070 Ti 16GB being 1200€ and who knows how bad the 5060 will be... I disagree with most of the pricing you suggest, for the 5080 Ti i’d agree and say between €1400-€1600, for the 5080 €1050-1200, 5070 ti €800-950, 5070 €600-750, 5060ti cant be below €500 and 5060 cant be below €400, all of these i’d say are more realistic but still absolutely unreasonable prices

@@ddunfuh9239 Yeah and the prices don't matter when we can't have 16GB under 1k anyway. But I can't believe 5080 is anywhere near 1000€ let alone under 1k like some people think. The cheapest 4080 Super I can buy atm is 1080€ and even that is with a -52€ discount. So 1132€. The next cheapest one is 1102€. And with the new GDDR7 they are going to charge premium for it. Of course I could always go with 4070 Ti Super... But at this point it would feel really awkward when the new gen is coming and I don't need to upgrade yet anyway. I guess my price predictions are the worst case scenario, but wouldn't be surprised if they end up being true. At this point I just want a good 50xx card with 16GB or RAM under 1k with a minimum of 256-bit bus. And it looks like it's not going to be 5070. It's going to be a repeat of the last generation but with increased prices. 🫠

It won‘t. The 5080 will be as leaked and probably slightly worse (5-10%) than the 4090 for 1200-1300€. People will buy it since the 4090 is being discontinued. The specs you listed might come to the 5080 super or 5080ti super but earliest mid to end of next year, when the 3gb memory modules are available.

No GPU should be made with less than 16GB of Vram it is the industry standard. The 4070ti had a lot of potential, but at 12GB, it doesn't perform like a card should at its price. If it is PCI 5.0 then we should see INTEL Arrow Lake pretty soon and Z870 motherboards. And when we get Arrow Lake I predict we have Battlemage that pairs with the CPU. Can't wait for the 5090! My computer is really getting stale inside with some parts turning 2 years and older: AMD 670E MB, 7950X3D, RTX 4090. I had nothing to upgrade this year which made me turn my attention to my NAS. that is bad because I normally put nicer and faster parts in my PC regularly. Instead I bought a Synology 8 bay NAS and stuffed it with 8 22TB drives, 10gbe card, and 4TB SSD. I even upgraded my home network from dual Asus AXE16000 to dual ASUS GT-BE98 Pro. This is boring stuff compared to getting a new graphics card and new monitor.

I am still doubting the specs for the RTX 5080. Original rumors suggested the RTX 5080 is supposed to be near the RTX 4090D to be powerful but also can be sold in China. The only way these GB203 specs would get close to the RTX 4090D is if it was clocked to 3.42 GHz. I can see a clock uplift from RTX 40 series, but not 900 MHz.

My guess is that 5080 will be $1200, and the performance target is 4090 with similar monster TPD... 16GB to limit its use for AI. 5090 will be $1999. Real prices may be even higher since both AMD and Intel will not compete at all.

I just expected 48GB VRAM Now I know their professional grade GPU like A6000 have 48GB VRAM and it would not make any sense for them to kill that line of product as it makes them ton of money. But those cards do not perform very well in games. So an overall card with 48GB ram priced at say even $3000 would have been great

The RTX 5080 is more like an RTX 5070 with those specs. These leaked specs are absolutely ridiculous for a next gen 80 class GPU. Even if there ends up being a 24GB 5080, I doubt it will excite most consumers. A 5080 24GB will have the exact same specs as the pathetic 16GB version with just more VRAM. This will be a repeat of the 4060 Ti 8GB and 16GB. I hope I am wrong, and the 5080 ends up being much better than what's being currently leaked.

Hardware Unboxed posted a great video showing how much each x80, x70, etc. cards are cut down compared to the flagship of that generation. If these 5080 leaks are correct, proportionally compared to the 5090 it is cut down to an x70 level (about 50% of the flagship). Not too happy about that. May end up waiting for a 5080Ti.

Ge Force Now or holding back to 1 generation behind is a solution to stick to high(ish?) end gaming. 3080 with a help of FSR FG is still high end card which is able to hit 60fps native (110-120 fsr generated) in 99.9% of new games and can be found around 300-400$ used. Doesn't make sense to go for 2k gc, but who has enough money and is excited for next gen, hell go for it 😎

After the debacle of the 4080-12gb that was renamed to 4070ti due to consumer kickback, I'm sure the 5080 will not come in both 16 and 24 GB variants... What we will probably get is a 5080ti with 24gb... Personally I think 16gb is a little bit scandalous on the 5080 because it should be about as performant as the 4090, and as such is aligned to be a 4k card... 16gb might be okay for 4k now, but in a year or so? Probably not... It's Nvidia basically building in designed obsolescence because in 2 years your £1200 GPU will feel a bit meh. It's slimy business practice but they know that they can get away with it because they have the monopoly on high end GPUs.

@@blades260 well i mean hang on, Nvidia does have competition the problem is theri competition is someone who really thought 1000 dollars for a 7900xtx was competitive vs the RTX 4080. Theres a reason the 5700xt did so well, it was priced lower than an RTX 2070 and it blew the 2060 out of the water and could do 1440p gaming and a bit of 4k gaming at the time, and performed better at times than the 2070, and it put the question into ppls mind about the "RTX tax" since Turing was already expensive that gen. Did AMD manage to do that with RDNA4? hell no, and they had the chance to do it again, They couldve said as a tagline: "hey our top end model will never go above 1000 dollars unlike our competition, because we beleive in selling you features for free not for a tax" and sold the 7900xtx at 800 dollars. Why do i think they could do this? because Nvidia priced the 3080 at 799 so if Nvidia could do that, so could Amd for an 80 class competitor, and they dropped the fucking ball, they werent agressive enough and are paying the price and i think they realize that, which is why i think RDNA 5 will be that, and if it wont then i think its time AMD reconsider their entire idea for Radeon as a brand.

That's somewhat true, but Nvidia likes margins and making sales. sure they like making money but you gotta remember the consumer market is like minute versus the data center/private customer business market they cater and make the most money towards by a larger margin in general, they don't have to price things this way either, they hold a monopoly of mindshare and hold the entire market hostsge to whatever prices they want, and having tons of 2.5k graphics cards in circulation in stores online and brick and mortar isn't a good thing because they aren't garunteed making a sale, they're margins are limited to those willing to either sell a kidney, get a loan/trade in or someone who just has tons of money to throw around which most people don't. There's a reason Nvidia didn't make so many 4080 supers, it's because they never intended to price it as such because of where it sat and didn't bother to change the pricing lineup entirely for super drastically however it did Garner them more sales of the updated and failed 4080 that they also needed to sell desperately, further proving that you can't just sell ppl a 1300 80 class card, that isn't a ti, ppl won't buy it, they'll just buy something better if they could afford it and the high range buyers not top tier buyers wont buy it, they'll just save money and spend it on the rest of their rig or wait for something better and or cheaper... And some did with the rx7900xtx, it was 2-300 dollars cheaper than the 4080 and blew it out of the water and was within spitting distance of the 4090 in some cases of only amd priced it a 899, which they could've since it was also a chiplet design and could overclock like crazy. Nvidia can pretty much do whatever they want to, they can lower prices and shift the market or raise prices to compensate for something... So if they're having a rainy day, next Gen they could go back to where prices were and call it the cheapest Nvidia cards ever and compare it to older cards via inflation. Ppl don't realize that while Nvidia could tell you you're poor, they can also tell you stuff like: "hey you're poor we made this just for all of you, buy the best stuff because the more you buy the more you save, it's not a complicated talk" and reduce prices back to normal and so would amd to meet them, they did exactly this with ampere, and if it wasn't plagued by all of its cursed issues, it would've been regarded as the best generation since Pascal since the 3080 was so good as well as the 3060.

It probably won't. While the times were different back then, right before the crypto mining BS started, I could buy my 1080ti for roughly 850 euros. I'm still using it today and it works good with most games at 1440p, but this/next year I'm building a new computer and it's either gonna be 5080 or 5090 depending on price and availability. Almost eight years this computer lasted me and it costed me as much as one graphiccard will cost me today.

4090 is the new 1080 Ti, with full RTX support and Frame Gen. It will age much better than 1080 Ti ever did. 1080 Ti is GTX and don't even support RTX features, it has been considered meh for years.

@@Dr.WhetFarts Strange, I haven't felt the need for RTX-features. I really doubt the 4090 will last as long as the 1080ti did. Even if it would you could've bought almost three 1080ti's worth for one 4090, further diminishing its value for the money. 1080ti is from a different era. GTX and RTX is not an equal comparison as it differs in more ways than in just pure performance. Just looking at the 4090 -> 5090 rumoured bandwidth (77% more) gives you signs that the 4090 probably will be obsolete much sooner than you think.

What sucks about the next generation 5,000 series GPUs is that you have to build an entire new system to support the gen 5 bandwidth. A 5090 will not work on a Gen 4 motherboard. Also I'm an Intel guy and am running a 14900KS with a Z790 board with a 4090 GPU. The next gen Intel CPUs will actually be slower clock speeds so I'm not going to upgrade at all. I got to much money invested in my rig to go to a slower chip. I would love to have the New 5090 but it won't work on my gen 4 Motherboard. Oh well😢
