just a thought, Paul. You still have the Golden Nugget parked in your garage. A bay away your grinding steel. Those sparks are hot enough by the time they travel clear across your garage bay to pit the windows in the "Nugget" and even possibly the new paint job. Solution - move the Nugget outside while your working on stuff inside OR put some kind of protection up in front and along side of the "Nugget".

When Ben was talking about setting the wrecker on fire, it brought out the professional firefighter in me. There are a few things I don't know about your shop, which I envy very much, but I would suggest considering a sprinkler system. Since it doesn't get anywhere near as cold there as it does here in Canada, a wet system should be okay. You have a lot of nice stuff in there and in my thirty years experience as a firefighter, sprinklered buildings are rarely total losses if the system works. Cheers.

If I may make a suggestion after Many years of Racing.. put your lower link arms to bottom of frame Rails instead of wishbone to crossmember and use a panhard bar to keep axle centered.. Better Axle Travel ability AND arms won't interfear with driveline. As Usual Great Content and Video Quality.. Love the build.

Loss of clearance, ideally nothing should be under the frameline. Anything below means somewhere you will snag on rocks. This (as well as not having proper angles due to design of the tub) is why long arms on a Jeep TJ was a bad idea as it made huge snag points

The truck is coming along really well! That said, it may be time to learn how to use that CNC plasma table. For making multiple identical items it would make it easier on your hands and back. It would likely reduce the amount of finish work required. Lastly, having the files made already would make replacing a damaged part simpler.
