Ever since the trailer came out, I keep wishing for Dottore and Columbina to be playable and I really don’t want Hoyo to give them the Signora treatment. This doesn’t really have much to do with the video but since in Diluc’s past it’s stated that he was carefully watched by the harbingers for tearing down Fatui camps, his overall research on delusions during his time away from Mondstadt, and an unknown(?) harbinger almost killed him when he was in Shezhnaya, he might know some information on the harbingers? With his new skin coming out soon that’s from his Fatui hunting days along with the timing of his new skin coming out and his background with the Fatui, it may be plausible that he has some information to share with the traveler

I think you've misunderstood the bit about Dottore segments. The "real" Dottore should be the most older one. And the one, that's "conducting an experiment" in Sumeru is the one that "is in prime of his life" i.e. younger one.

I'm actually thinking that this is a method for the doctor to sustain from the tides of time. Creating these segments aka clones of himself and giving the younger one as his main vessel while the ones in the prime category do formally do his plans and maybe there own. Then when a segment dies another one continues or the younger one takes over while in the background he creates a new vessel to continue the cycle. Who knows how old the main consciousness of his true self really is.

The queen is pinned 😟 Technially the queen could take the black knight but then it's be game over. The other black pieces will move in slowly and the queen will be lost. The horse is hung but so long as it stays put, the queen can't move and game is blacks. Only way to win here is if black just forgets they have a queen on the corner and moves the night out of the way. Which would be quite the mistake! Then it would be whites game no question because the queen is free. This, to me, suggests there is something pinning venti. Could be the loss of his gnosis, could be how the abyss is closing in on mond, could even be something else entirely but there is something keeping venti on the sidelines and unable to help. An obsitcal only the other side can remove. If that thing is taken away and venti is free, the game is over and they've lost. No question. Venti clames to be the weakest archon but it seems they HAD to clip his wings first if they wanted to oppose the 7. Though considering all of ventis implied links to the god of time, the abyss AND his nation being the only one completly stable without there god, I could see him knowing something that would turn the tides, for sure!

if anyone sees this, the harbringers actually might be the white pieces. If you look closely, both venti and zhongli are black pieces. Also pieces that taken out are on the sides, which also shows that the harbringers are the white pieces. Raiden shogun might be the black king piece, if you put the row of chess under the 7 elements, with the first rook stuck out ( representing Khaenri'ah) and the other 7 chess pieces representing the 7 elements, venti and zhongli s pieces matches perfectly. Raiden shogun also matches with the king. This is further proven when the white horse( likely signora) moves, who is now in danger from both the king and zhonglis gnosis. Zhongli doesn’t eat signora because they have a contract, but the raiden shogun does not care and kills signora. But as pierro said, checkmate doesn’t matter because it is likely that the harbringers want to loose on the surface to the gods and distract the heavenly principles

Ok so I have a theory to share!! You said you’re not certain what number most of them are, and I have something to say about this: Ok so we already know Pierro is the number one, that’s clear. But the way Childe spoke of Capitano makes me feel like he’s second. If his strength impresses him, y’know the battle freak, that has like Foul Legacy form, then I’m assuming we’re talking about one hell of a power here. Next in the list is Columbina, we know she’s 3rd. In fourth place I think we have Sandrone. Seemingly, her intellect, mechanic knowledge and elegant, yet intimidating aura lead me to believe that she must be very strong as she’s very creative and could potentially be using her so called puppets to fight for her. Next we have Pulcinella on 5th place, after him is Scaramouche, although to be true, I don’t think he’s truly devoted to the Tsaritsa. On seventh place I’d put Dottore, since he seemingly has been in the Fatui for a long time, has managed to create a few versions of himself, has proceeded through many experiments and is truly important because of his research style. On 8th place we have Signora, amen, I feel like she was a brainwashed pawn, because her devotion almost couldn’t be matched with the others’. What’s more sad, the fact we know her background, and that the Tsaritsa took her in because she felt her pain, so to say they had a bond on another level, makes me think she was just (as she said in the archon quest) but a necessary sacrifice the Tsaritsa had to make so that she can carry on with her plan. Next on the list is Pantalone, the rich Fatui da- ahem, the rich guy. After him I think on 10th place we can put Arlecchino. She is seemingly strong, but there’s something in her character that doesn’t sit right with me. The way she speaks shows how much respect she pays to Signora, although most of them look like they don’t even wanna be there. She seems genuine about what she says here, but there’s uncertainty in her. And then we have our God of reruns Childe/Tartaglia/Ajax, that, I have to agree with you, I started simping over after that trailer right there So that’s on what I think. Let me know if you think the same 😌

Hi it's me again so I also just came up with a theory on how that creating a party setup is identical to how a chess match functions in the beginning minus the pawns. First let me give you the final list that i came up and what you added with the fatui for the pieces and thier elements. Of course this is just my opinion. The Rook: Geo and Cryo The Bishop: Dendro and Hydro The Knights: Thunder and Pyro The Queen: Anamo The Pawns: Fatui The Kings: Denslif and Pimon The Players: The Travelers The Chess Board: The gods of creation and the mysterious goddess. So in a chess game the knight would usually be the first to do a kill aka the main dps. Yet in doing so requires alot of strategic setup aka sub dps first before your main dps would do thier attacks. So here is a setup in chess lango. You can do a knight, 2 Rooks, and a bishop setup. In genshin rotating from up going right you can place zhongli for his shield and effects of it which the Rook represents protection and opportunities. Then would be Mona to cast her stuff with omen and sub dps output with Hydro wet effect which all of this represents the bishop which is considered holy, unify, and cleanse. Then we switch to rosaria to use her attacks to freeze in place and be given her buffs and effects that transfer to your main dps. This would represents the 2nd rook which again protection and opportunities. Freeze would count as a crowd control or protection while cryo has the opportunity to give the strongest multiplier in the game. Then finally we go to the classic character diluc which takes all of the subs buffs and effects and gives there powered up attack to do massive damage. For this it would be the Knight which has the most unique move setup in chess which can help the player get a kill from the help of all the other pieces on the board working together... well that's just my thoughts anyways lol.

I think in my opinion the pieces and the game of chess it's self is as follows. Rukes are both geo and cryo. Bishops are dendro and hydro. Knights are thunder and Pyro. The queen is anamo because it can take any elements and increase it's effectiveness. Pawns are the fatui which mimic the elements hence why when you reach the opposite ends of the board you can mimic any pieces powers. The kings in my opinion are pimon and denslif since they seem to be guiding the player which leaves just the travelers left as the opposing sides. Then last but not least it's the board which I believe represents the creation from the gods and the rules are governed by the mysterious goddess.

Just to someone that does a bit of chess, I’ve played in Japan nationals when I was younger. The raiden shogun is the knights as shown on the board, not the bishop. The knight is widely regarded as the best piece, it’s hard to counter, it starts the game and in most situations, it ends it. This could imply that the raiden shogun will play a major role later in the game.

Now that we have Scaras voicelines id say an update to this video is in order. The biggest relevation we got was about Pulcinella. If Scara's word is to be trusted (which I think it is, he's not a harbinger anymore to why lie) then The Rooster is essentially manipulating Childe via gaining his trust by helping his family. This raises serious red flags about Childe and his families safety in the future. Also we essentially got more confirmation that Columbina is Really Dangerous and we should be wary of her.

Hm, I think the dottore burning the tree isn't actually "him", I think it's a segment. Think about it this way: when dottore was told that he was looking young, he seemed mad at that comment because that person may have confused him with the other segment of himself that is younger. Then, that person asks dottore where the segment on the prime of his life is, which I think refers to the younger one. Also, I think that tree is located in sumeru, and maybe knowing that one of his comrades died on another nation, he didn't want to go to sumeru being his actual self, so to be more careful, he only sent a segment of himself. I think that makes much more sense, but since nothing's confirmed yet, it's all up to interpretation! I really liked this video, keep up the good work :)

I think people are missing some things about Signora. Why did the Tsaritsa feel she had to ice the mausoleum down like she did? It was not out of the benevolence of her heart. It was to make sure the Signora did not get out and no one could get in. Docttore’s blasphemous experiments? Raising someone from the dead. Remember Frankenstein? Signora’s moth is the same color as the flames on the tree of life! Then there is a really strange weird light that comes up the stairs behind the Harbingers. No one there. Just the light. Creepy! Then Childe is just there for the drinks and food. This is the first time in a long time that the Harbingers are all together. He can observe them all and report to the Tsaritsa. Finally The mayor! Keep your friends close and your enemies closer? Child needs to be very careful and remember all the Harbingers have an agenda!

I’ve been mentioning the same thing, it seems like the Tsaritsa purposely froze Signora in that coffin as if she was “preserving” it for some unknown reasons.. idk some things felt fishy and the “checkmate is not where the game ends” Signora’s piece was knocked over but was never removed from the board as it should’ve been? This comment might go mostly unnoticed, but i just figured something out about the song playing in the background, each time it switches fatui harbingers it changes the song slightly (although not usually major or 100% accurate) i am mostly sure there is a snippet of each character's boss theme, the only reason i thought of this to begin with was because i decided to see if there was at all a similarity of childes theme and what it sounds like in the music when he is onscreen, and what do ya know, there are some striking similarities, granted, it's kind of hard to tell with signoras theme being the main thing, but if you pay attention you can hear a part of childes theme in the form of what i can only assume to be a flute in the background of the song, this might be cool because we can kind of guess what a part of their theme is going to sound like.

I honestly don’t think many of the harbingers will be playable since with all the characters we have interactions with we’re usually very friendly and good with the characters we meet and play. Childe is the only Harbinger I can really see being friendly with us and hanging out, all the rest probably wouldn’t interact well with the traveler in a way that they would help and be playable and make sense that they would be fighting by the rest of the characters side

SYP has said the only harbingers they don't know about being playable is Pierro, Pulcinella and Signora, the rest should all be playable

I think it's likely they'll get redemption arcs like Childe did after we defeat them. I don't think we're completely done with Childe's yet in that there are many unresolved issues, like finding out why he's obsessed with getting strong. I expect we'll get a steady trickle these after the midway point of the overall story when things will shift gear.

You know what no one talks about? The fact that the fatui are actively fighting in the abyss. (Source: Signora talking to Scaramouche in the delusion factory in his flashback, Dottore speaking to the Sages and Scaramouche later in the same story) Edit: Oh and about Sandrone, she seems to have access to Ruin guards, since if you look at the thing that walks her around, the eye has a similar look to the eye of the mechanical components of the squid bots, the crab bots, and the ruin guards. Could be wrong but I recall from Childe's story, that Dottore was researching ruin guards in the factory he took us to with Teucer. Perhaps she works with Dottore closely, or it was a small favor he did for her.

As for Pierro and the chess theory,,,, it doesn’t surprise me that the harbingers are the black pawns, since I believe Childe says, at the end of the Liyue storyline, that “[he] doesn’t mind being a pawn” or at least he says something somewhere along the lines of he doesn’t mind being used so long as he knows who is doing it. Also I thought the raiden gnosis would have been the knight, since we see the knight toppling the pawn that Signora’s moth lands on? I guess it could be the traveller but the toppling of the piece implies death to me and raiden is the one who actually killed her. Also the knight fits with Ei’s lore of being the shadow general for makoto, and always being more of a soldier than a leader.

Also, I wonder if the different places in Tevyat represent different cultures(?) 1. The blue chess piece is the anemo archon's gnosis, which represents the queen. It was taken from Venti by Signora when she is first introduced. I'm sure you can find the cutscene where it happens. 2. The different areas do represent different cultures. It's kinda the whole point. But you are right about the cultures each region represents 3. La Signora/Rosalyne comes from mondstadt.
