You gotta love how Jeremy missed the actual sin that Black Adam killed the Council of Wizards. In Shazam it was explicitly stated that they were slain by the Seven Deadly Sins
@gantz22ify Жыл бұрын
I think there’s two options: 1. Wizard Shazam didn’t tell Billy the truth because even after all those years it still hurt to be betrayed. 2. The Seven Deadly Sins took the credit for the Wizard Council’s deaths and the Wizard Shazam said they did it because he wasn’t there when they died.
@Cinemabu11 Жыл бұрын
@@gantz22ify I don't buy it because 1. He wasn't afraid to tell Billy that he chose Black Adam and how Black Adam released the Sins. 2. In this movie we see the Wizard witness his family's deaths at Black Adam's hand. So he was there to witness it.

@@masquerabe6692 But here's the thing. The Wizard specifically said "my brothers and sisters were slain by the sins." That's him saying that although Adam was indirectly responsible since he released them, the Sins themselves dealt the final blow And Black Adam (film) visually shows it wasn't actually them but Black Adam directly killing them with his lightning. Why say the Sins killed your family in one movie, but show it was Black Adam actually killing them?

I think some creators purposely mispronounce things just to drive engagement from people flocking to the comments to correct them. It's scummy to do it with a person's name though. Yeah, she's a fictional character, but a white man purposely mispronouncing the name of a woman of color feels gross. Maybe it's not that deep in Jeremy's case, but it's such a pervasive issue in general that Key & Peele made a (race-swapped) character to comment on it. Mr. Garvey is immensely popular, so obviously it's something that many people of color can relate to

Personally I thought this film was fine. Pretty much no better than fine but I wouldn't call it "terrible", for DC in recent years it actually had some great effects and I like how Black Adam actually killed tons of people, obviously they softened him up a ton but he still felt violent and strong as fuck. I really hope DC can continue to have good action under James Gunn because to me these movies do such a good job of showing just how powerful each character is, there's never a moment where Aquaman, Wonder Woman and Superman all feel like they're just the same character because they all look like they're equals. Superman is always the strongest but The Flash appropriately beats him in speed. Namely I think speed is what DC grasps best in movies, everyone in the MCU feels like they move at around the same speed which makes characters feel underpowered when they're meant to be super strong and fast and yet Captain America easily clowns on them.

I just going to talk about the sin that that talks about the scene being like John Conner and The Terminator from T2. Arnold, Dwayne, and the movie industry in 2003 thought the same thing. They had a scene in the very beginning of The Rundown where Arnold Schwarzenegger and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson passed torches. They are, in essence, the same person.
