CinemaSins is an awesome channel, and I love their content. But, just as "No Movie Is Without Sin", No Channel is Without Sin.
This time, I flip the script and sin CinemaSins' Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle video. Enjoy!
Disclaimer: I actually REALLY enjoy CinemaSins, and am only making fun of them here. I do not hate them, nor am I a "hater". This video is all in good fun.

Okay, I'm gonna be "that guy" for a sec. What is the difference between tabletop games and board games? Wikipedia tells me that "board games are traditionally a subset of tabletop games". I know, really ignorant of me, I just haven't played that many yet (and I wanna change that btw; I'd love to try D&D).

@@gaetanodepaola2ndchannel179 | Ever heard of “all squares are rectangles, but not all rectangles are squares”? The squares are board games, and the rectangles are tabletop games. DnD is a tabletop game, but doesn’t fall into the board game subclass due to the lack of, well, a board.
@Soridan
@Soridan 3 жыл бұрын
@@gaetanodepaola2ndchannel179 You need an actual game-board for a board game to play the game. Think Monopoly. Tabletop games just require a tabletop to sit around and have your stuff on it, or basically any flat surface. Like card games, dice games, roleplaying games. Though really, with some of them you can do away with that and just have your group scattered in the room like a bunch of Cheetos dust covered fat cats.

The sin Jeremy gave about the teacher remembering the metaphor in the two papers.... does he not realize that teachers USUALLY make copies of the student’s/students’ essays and papers. Heck, in my school, my writing teacher would keep our printed out essays for our file, since THE STUDENT SHOULD HAVE IT ON A FLASH DRIVE OR HAVE DRAFTS OF SAID ESSAY. There’s this rare machine in schools, that allows you to MAKE COPIES OF PAPERS

When I got in trouble at school back in the '90s, I was sent to the principle's office. Thankfully, he was a cool guy who recognized I was fundamentally a good kid, just... different. So we hung out and talked. Technically wasn't detention, though. Closest to detention I ever got was being sent to the S.T.O.P room (elementary school version of detention, I guess) where I had to stay until I wrote an apology for mouthing off at a kid who'd been hassling me. I gotta agree with this point. I was also confused by birdman talking like nobody plays board games anymore. I used to have board game nights once a week. I know others that do this. Family members that still play board games. I had a friend that searched for old board games (and paid a lot of money for complete sets) just to bring to board game nights. People still love board games, they just aren't advertised much, if at all, in this age. Very sad, but definitely still a thing. About to be a father any moment now and will definitely be raising my son to appreciate them (hopefully he will).

As someone just recently out of highschool and a younger sibling still in highschool. Principals don't do much with the students, and even though he said rejects, there are usually like 5 or 6 people always in detention, and health teachers and gym teachers do handle the detentions. And while teachers recognize stuff like that, they have hundreds of students each semester, they remember the paper not the sentences, and those are only the really really good teachers. Schools definitely aren't as great as you seem to think

Me when hearing/seeing the sun involving “getting jiggy:” Wow, Jeremy’s right. An individual who was trapped in a game in 1995 wouldn’t have known of the word “jiggy” since it wouldn’t have been around in 1995 and thus the character using the word makes no sense. This is when CinemaSins uses the channel’s concept well by pointing out ACTUAL SINS in a movie. That’s amazing, Jeremy. Let’s give him a round of applause for knowing how to criticize media properly when he’s not a doofus at it. 👏👏👏👏👏

7:55 Jeremy complains about the movie's jumps beeing too high by exemplifying it with sound effects from Mario, which is a game. Almost as if this entire movie also took place in a game or something.

I never understood the end of that movie, after all in the original Jumanji, the children never retained any knowledge of the game they played, are the rules different for these teens because they were inside Jumanji instead of playing it in the outside world?

Of course he didn't roll credit that moment! First of all that one word has been used in the movie A whole ton so far! And secondly it would have to include the term welcome to the jungle for him to roll credit it

I like how the actor who played the principal in this also played Shaun in The Good Place. (Edit): 1. I forgot to mention that I think the one who played Sean from The Good Place could make a good Agent Coulson. 2. Humans are different from animals by their ability to realize that they might be the problem. I forget what it's called, but humans have the unique ability to experience suicidal ideation, while other animals can't. Also, I think it's funnier to have this pointed out as the what makes someone human, as opposed to compassion and thinking Ben Afflek is a good screenwriter. The Daredevil movie gave me symbolically metaphorical cancer, in the form of an intensely distressed mental state. Also, I feel like it should be noted that orcas can mourn other orcas dying, and carry them on their backs while swimming. I didn't think they could do the latter.

Last Sin: Also, this is clearly a callback/continuity of the first movie with Robin Williams with how the two kids still were born and met Alan. So sinning the movie for accurate continuity is a sin to you Jeremy.

2:02 Another thing Jeremmy may not consider is, that perhaps copies of the students work are kept to prevent plagiarism. I mean when I was in school, we had to scan and upload our assay to a national school cloud-system, so that it could be checked if we plagiarised work or not... So why shouldn't that be the case back then?

8:30 Cinemasins missed the opportunity for an actual sin here. In the original Jumanji, when the game is completed, time resumes back to when the original players started playing the game, and the kids that joined in the game and released Alan didn't remember anything about it.

Wait, what? The kids from the first movie definitely remember all that happened. I distinctly remember a scene at the end where they chuckled about it.
