Serious question. How does Jeremy expect characters to be introduced to the audience without exposition? Every time a movie introduces a character, he complains as if we should all know them ahead of time. But movie logic is to assume this is the first time we're meeting them so we need to be introduced to them. Basically why is he Schroderingers critic? Complaining about everything and nothing simultaneously

You just know that if they introduced a character by just having them be there, they would sin that too. "The movie wants me to care about these people dying, but they barely bothered to tell me their names. We know nothing about them." Is how I would expect that to go.

I'm probably one of the few fans of the games that will admit to 100% unironically enjoying most of the Anderson RE movies for the schlocky action b-movies they are.
@nightshade7240
@nightshade7240 11 ай бұрын
Grew up on 80s schlock movies and the RE games are great. Also think the movies are great for what they were always intended to be. Anderson and Jovovich doing onscreen foreplay before going off and doing weird fucking private roleplay in their own bedroom. Be Anderson even has a zombie mask for special occasions. Odds are they are both absolute freaks in the bedroom and the world needs more of that.

The movies at the very least have a story to it that is original. While I personally have a dislike for the movies after the second one, I still like the creative direction they took. It's better than the Welcome to Raccoon City where all they did was have the first and second game meshed together into one story and make Wesker some weird anti-hero rather than the genocidal villain he is (I absolutely loved Avan Jogia though, even if his Leon acting wasn't what I wished it could be).

Lest we forget that "the movie not explaining how the holograms work" is not "something wrong" with the movie. It literally doesn't, never has, and never will, matter in a movie. Jeremy clearly never played resident evil video games. The zombies always go into a dormant state after a while of not encountering any fresh food sources. And they quickly reanimate after a human walks into the room. This was actually addressed if you have the doctor lady that can control zombies in RE: ORC. She found it fascinating.

That whole satellite thing is "sorta" explained in a inbetween comic or something. Umbrella let her go so they can use her to kill people for them. Alice took out a few people including the little girl from the second movie this allowed her to take back control. After she broke into an Umbrella site( which she tell Carlos in a scene in this movie ) in order to figure out the satellites location. Its why she looks at her watch during the movie so she can stay out of its range at certain times. Its why when that Umbrella scientist goes against orders and reroutes that satellite they are able to find Alice since she thinks the satellite should be in a different location at this point in time.

Because a character being a Mary Sue isn't inherently a bad thing. Your reaction tells me you get a lot of your media literacy from right-wing grifters on social media telling you that a Mary Sue makes a character a bad character and that their existence ruins a movie. Superman, Goku, and Luke Skywalker are all Mary Sue character archtypes, and I'd argue none of those characters are bad or make their media property worse.

TLDR: Jeremy doesnt understand the Circle of life also, to answer jeremys question about scar. apex preds (which hyenas are) have the power to control whole ecosystems. mufasa kept them at a low threat level as king so that even if they did get away with a few animals, it was never enough to hinder the land. When scar was incharge he forced the lionesses to hunt for himself and the hyena first and likely themselves last. there were WAY too many mouths to feed, it caused the prey to either die or move on and, assuming that the rain at the end of the film was the start of the rainy season and not just an act of lion god/s it likely made for a VERY harsh dry season. In short it wasnt magic it wa pour management skills and a tyrant on an ego trip which i dont blame him for having one hes the only Disney villain to have actually ACCOMPLISHED his goals for years but still, for a lion he was a bit of an ass

Shout out to my friends who retired to Pahrump. Your guess about what it's like is accurate.

More like use a masterball on a Ditto

Depends on the Ditto and the situation you put Ditto in. If it's a shiny 6 IV ditto that just transformed into your legendary Pokemon accidentally, it might make sense to use a Master Ball on it. Ditto takes on the capture rate of the Pokemon it turns into, and if you had a legend out front, well... good luck lol.

@@Th3Birdman I was thinking of a weak Ditto but I'm also sure he'll use it on a Shuckle as well.

I liked the resident evil movies granted I'm autistic so, ah, I will concede that the final chapter was left field from the rest of the movie series.
