"I'm ready to tap out of pop culture references" As a teenager, the insane amount of pop culture references is actually exactly why I love this movie so much. It's a realistic depiction of teenagers where they're not just all lumped into "rude kids whose only goal in life is to stay out past their very reasonable curfew" (which is depicted far more often than you might think) and instead shows our fondness for pop culture in the form of humour and playfully insulting each other.
