The wildest part of the exhaust port being called an "obvious, stupid weak spot" is that an entire moon-sized space station only has one exhaust port that poses a security threat. That is an incredible feat of engineering, especially when it's a space station that fires a massive laser with enough energy to destroy a planet. Gaming PCs even have trouble with managing heat sometimes and they're not energy weapons.
@Phoenix23122 жыл бұрын
Canonically, There are MUTIPLE Exhausts... Not just one, There was only ONE that would be Vulnerable though! The REAL Irony of the "Obvious, Stupid Weak Spot" is that - And funnily you are on the right track mentioning Gaming PC's... NOTHING IS EVER PERFECT! The Titanic was a master of engineering design, But it still sank! The German Tiger Tank was DEVESTATING, but weak as shit on it's rear! F-14 Tomcats are AWESOME but drink fuel like a bitch! And ONE EXHAUST PORT leading to the reactor... On a Space Station as large as a Small Moon... With BILLIONS of Canons, TIE Fighters, Missiles, and numerous other defences... Much like all the above, The Empire did NOT CONSIDER something so small to be a significant risk! The Tiger Tank as I said was DEVESTATING! A Truly remarkable piece of 2nd World War Hardware that Allies were deeply afraid of! Had the Titanic been crewed better - It might never have sank! and F-14's are still used by the US Air Force as despite the fuel consumption, They are amazing machines!!! One Small Negatable Flaw does not mean you should tear everything apart and start all over again! Hell, the amount of Weapons on the Death Star - The fact the Rebels even managed to get CLOSE to that Exhaust port at all is a BLOODY MIRACLE! It was Guerrilla War tactics, Had Luke not had the Force - Yavin 4 would have been DESTROYED and the Empire would have WON! The Rebel force LOST MOST OF ITS PILOTS just getting to the damn thing! Hence whenever I hear someone say "RoUgE oNe fIxEd ThAt PlOt HoLe FrOm A NeW HoPe" - I WANT TO BEAT THEIR F**KING HEADS IN! IT WAS NEVER A PLOT HOLE... IT WAS A PLOT CONTRIVENCE!!! The one time where Jeremy Scott could have said DEUS EX MACHINA and it would have been CORRECT!!! (and Yeah, I love Star Wars.. I love it WAY TOO MUCH that I actually studied that scene to determine if it was a Plot hoe or not... I studied History to make sure I was right... I studied Military Tactics I NEED TO GET A LIFE!!!)

By the way, due to Star Wars the Force Unleashed, initially released in 2008 that (which is to be considered somewhat canon due to the start of the Alliance and killing of most of the remaining Jedi) Kyber Crystals are a thing. Maybe they were introduced earlier but they did get featured in that game. And we're called that by name. It's like how in Jurassic Park the Game, it was the first time the volcano was mentioned or named. That would be then used in the sequel trilogy. Some parts of games are to be considered canon. However that does imply a few other weird stuff is canon.

What Jeremy failed to realize that Star Wars also mimmicks real life in some extent which in the case of Lando betting his ship against Han's ship, that's entirely possible in high-stakes poker. That's what we called a side bet that each person bets upon which is on top of the general bets on the table which we called "pot" whereas sidebets have their own pots called "side pot". Gamblers can even bet anything that's being certified be it a simple Rolex Perpetual watch to a title to a fucking building in downtown LA. That's how crazy side pot betting can be and with Lando risking his wealth against Han where Lando's often known to be lucky in the series, I don't see why he can't see himself walking off with the bet and Han's ship even. Also, I don't get why he was talking about "Lando shouldn't talk fractions before the deal is done and price is discussed yet". Lando is a fucking smuggler himself thus he could already estimate how much it is beforehand and hearing Crimson Dawn's name being tagged to the job coupled with the route taken, he knew the math would come out huge and even if he takes 50% of Han's 50% share, both would still profit massively no matter what thus he decided to gamble on Han again as, mentioned, Lando is always lucky. Besides, that's how business are often dealt with. Even before profit numbers could be given, percentages are often asked or negotiated so I don't see why Lando openly asking Han for 50% of the profit even the raw numbers could be given would be wrong or a sin. Jeremy poor at finances cliche.
