While being magical does not preclude it from being logical, it also does not have to be realistically logical. The Force is what is commonly called a Soft Magic system. Basically, it means that the magic system is not given a lot of clear rules it has to stick to and can be used as the plot demands. See also: Lord of the Rings, A Song of Ice and Fire, and Narnia. On the other end of the spectrum you have Hard Magic systems which have both an internal and external sense of logic and often have strict rules defining them (and, in some cases, those rules can be broken but at great cost to the character doing the breaking). im fine with it because sacrificing yourself by projecting yourself across the galaxy to win a fight and save lives without actually participating in violence is the most jedi thing ever. jedi are peacekeepers, not soldiers. sure it'd be cool to have him there, but what difference would that make besides "haha lightsaber go brr xd"

Actually, while they might be separate abilities, force heal can apply to the user too. Also, much like intelligence, force proficiency isn't linear, hence why Cal Kestis has an improved seer ability, but doesn't have good force jump, as seen by the Dovahkiin being able to fall further without shattering every bone in their body, and Cal Kestis not having force healing.

I really don't want to be that guy, on these movies BUT... One of the fundamental force powers has always been to use the force to push something away from them. So I ask what would be the inverse of that power? To use the force to pull something or oneself to something, right? So why is it so unbelievable that in a life or death situation, whether actively thinking about it or not, a force user would use that same fundamental force power to pull themselves to safety? Just saying.
@brendenhawley2225 Жыл бұрын
I mean force push simply seems to be adding kinetic motion to things, the reverse of force push, force pull drags not teleports things to them. One can consider the way force acts at a difference to possibly be connected to teleportation, and the force is mysterious so discovering new powers are not that weird.

Imagine thinking Rey saying "Rey Skywalker" at the end of the movie was great. Literally every other answer would be better: her saying Rey Palpatine because she isn't afraid of who she is anymore would have been better, her saying "just Rey" as she did earlier in the film but this time with more confidence because she decided it doesn't matter where she came from would have been better, her straight up killing that old woman for being an annoying busy body would have been a thousand times better...

When Jer-Bear refers to "The Raid II" I'm assuming he's misunderstanding that "The Raid: Redemption" is not a sequel considering there's a subtitle, which are typically only given to sequels. "The Raid: Redemption" is only called that in the west because there's already a film called "The Raid", it would be a copyright conflict to not change the title slightly.

CinemaSins: sins SW for having the traditional opening crawl. Also CinemaSins: sins Rogue One for *not* having the traditional crawl. People tend to forget just how much trauma Luke and his family have been through throughout their life. His characterisation in TLJ is completely understandable. On that note, I liked Rey a lot better in TLJ because she was given some development and allowed to be her own character, rather than just a female version of Luke Skywalker. In general, the sequel trilogy is a guilty pleasure for me, though I do think it would've worked better if it focused more on Kylo/Ben's redemption arc rather than Rey wanting to be a Jedi. I personally would've loved if she were more of a antiheroine.

Space ships in the Star Wars universe have artificial gravity and inertial dampening. All it would take for the "bombers" to drop their bombs the way they did, would be regular gravity plates around the bomb bay doors, to get the bombs moving in the desired direction. We already know this is happening by the way the pilot falls, and the way the remote control falls. Anything that fell out of those bomb bay doors would continue to follow their trajectory unless they were acted upon by some external force. 😊 ❤✌

18:45 Though I don't know if it's lore accurate I can tell you it does make sense to me. The bombs are stored within the ship and (as the ship has artificial gravity) everything within the ship would fall down, so the bombs within the vessel falling (then continuing there trajectory do to a lack of friction in space) makes sense to me honestly. Also looks like it has a trebuchet system like what battle star galactica has to fire the vipers out
@pelicanofpunishment62 жыл бұрын
This is what I always assumed. Plus, the Dreadnaught would have somewhat of a gravity field, as all objects with mass do, and has artificial gravity itself that may also have an effect. at 19:00 when talking about the bombs. It could very easily be possible that they is a mechanism that pushed the bombs out of the ship, they'd carry that momentum in space and so hit the enemy ship.
@ValleyoftheLeaf2 жыл бұрын
I find it more likely that, just like on every other ship, and the fact that you literally see the rebel lying in the bay fall not 5 seconds before, that the bay is under the effects of an artificial gravity generator. So they *are* under the effect of gravity while inside the bay, and then when they pass through the doors inertia/momentum keep them moving in a straight line towards the ship below.
