I lived in Seattle for a year and a half, hardly leaving the city except to take the ferry to visit distant cousins near the Naval shipyard in Bremerton and do office work for a former teacher on Bainbridge Island and that is true. Also, given the traffic in Seattle (which during the stupid car chase they should've crashed on the freeway since that area going into downtown is always rush hour level jammed because people out there don't know how to drive) unless you are filthy rich like these a**holes, having a car is a detriment. You pay more for parking the stupid thing that you do for gas. I would beat all of my film school friends for events we would meet at because I walked. When on the occasion I carpooled with them, we would always- I repeat, ALWAYS get caught in traffic and we would all have to pay part of the parking fee to make it fair.

I've had to convince more than one fan of this trash that EL James had it wrong when she had Ana, in Vancouver, Washington, take I5 to Portland on her way to Seattle because they said she's the professional author, so she knows. And I couldn't convince EL James or her husband that iPhones are actually a popular thing in Vancouver and Seattle since she's the professional author, so she knows. I only live in Vancouver, Washington. So what do I know? Y'know? As as someone who is from California and used to drive around San Francisco and Los Angeles traffic, Seattle's traffic is pants-pissing-terrifying. The high-speed chase wouldn't happen. I've got a major pet peeve about people who do NOT live here (and most who probably have never even visited, and none who've ever even looked at a map) claiming that someone else who never even visited here until after all the books were written could know more than someone who lives here.

I suggest watching The Dom's videos on the series because as someone who has dabbled in BDSM before and has been in an abusive relationship before, he explains it quite well.
