Well, here's a movie you probably remember liking but that you probably haven't seen in a long time. Allow us to show you its sins, and remind you of how not-very-good it is.
Next week: Two early 2000's movies that start with G.
Remember, no movie is without sin! Which movie's sins should we expose next?!

@@lupomena I hope you're referring to the mom in those movies. It was her dumbass who was prepared to let their own daughter go to another continent without consulting the father. Let her stay with a party-girl friend (who gives out her info to people she just met) and her cousins (who happen to be out of the country.) All the while acting like Bryan was being unreasonable about the whole thing. He, on the other hand, was completely right about the kind of danger she'd be in, and took it upon himself to risk his life scouring the Paris criminal underworld, killing 36+ dangerous human traffickers, all to get their daughter back. He's father of the freaking year.

Yeah, we had a discussion about it. Shrink is an irregular verb or it would be "shrinked" rather than following shrink (present), shrank (past), shrunk (past participle). It could be "Honey, I Have Shrunk the Kids." This would be the past perfect form with the past participle shrunk. If he had just finished with the shrink ray, he could say "Honey, I Have Been Shrinking the Kids." That is the past perfect progressive form based more on the context within a conversation rather than for use as the title of a movie. "Shrunken" would be used to describe something that has been shrunk. Shrunken heads for instance. In that case, it's an adjective rather than a verb. I got an A in the class, by the way. :)

I did some math on this and I discovered what has to be the most horrific undertone in a kids movie I’ve ever seen First Due to the effects of terminal velocity caused by the ratio of gravitation to air resistance the shrunken humans would receive practically no injury from a fall The far more terrifying truth is that because our surface area and our internal mass as humans fallows a mathematic principal called the square cube law there own internal generation of heat would work much faster than there surface area could possibly vent meaning they would literally cook from the inside out like some kind of sick pressure cooker until there body literally either exploded or just straight up fell apart due to heat building both internal pressure as gas and melting or cooking various fatty tissues making them lose there bond with the skeleton and when I say this keep in mind this whole process would probably take less than a hour

@@ravensalvadore7723 Don't be, it isn't true. You would starve to death very quickly, as your skin area would be MUCH higher comparing to your internal volume, so you would need to generate much more heat (and eat much more calories) to keep yourself at the normal body temperature. What he is explaining is what would happen when a small thing grows big: your surface area becomes much smaller comparing to the internal volume, and your cells would generate way too much heat, boiling itself.

Good point. By the time I was 15, I had climbed half dome twice and knew my way around a compass- seems like the douche bag dad’s son would be in the exact same position- the movie makes a massive point to show that douche bag is *really* into camping, which tells me that his son was most likely raised going on camping trips- if that’s the case, he’d have to know at least the very basics of how to work a compass. His dad just seems like “that guy” (especially in the 80’s/90’s when mountain people were really into that type of boyscout crap). Just saying- I doubt it would have taken them quite *that* long to get home based upon your estimate. Let’s say you double the miles and they get slightly lost, they still should have gotten there at around midnight or early am the next day at the latest. DB’s son would have to be pretty inept to get them that lost, and the girl seems like she was more than capable.
@helterskelter4every1
@helterskelter4every1 4 жыл бұрын
Oh, and I mentioned the compass part, not because they had one, but because it’s the very basic in direction management. You have no idea how much just knowing basic compass skills helps out in regular life. Knowing “due north” and sun positions helps a lot so the son should have been more helpful from that knowledge alone. Sorry I didn’t explain that better.

Stone Cold How did Wesley know exactly where to find Buttercup after she was kidnapped? How did Inigo recognize Wesley’s voice from a distant scream? How did Inigo know that Buttercup is Wesley’s true love? (“His true love is marrying someone else. Who else has cause for ultimate suffering?”) Why did Inigo say that Fezzik had finally done something right when Fezzik had been nothing but helpful the whole time?

@@erinmiller1433 Erin Miller 1. True love 2. Because it's Inigo Montoya 3. Was obvious. 4. To give the impression that Andre is a big dumb character. Which is a cliché and also goes against the arc of the whole character.
