2:36 all they needed to do to fix this scene in particular was have the crowd react positively. lars' reaction is fitting for him, he's an insecure teenage boy. and having steven watch lars get hurt and storm off while the crowd uproars in applause around him would've made for a more impactful scene, perhaps one where all the events leading up to this point set in and he realizes not only that wrestling is too mean-spirited for him, but also just how much anger amethyst is taking out on others when she enters the ring. (also, fkin _love_ the twitter bit at the end)

Note: as an actual wrestling fan who also gone to a local indie show, you’re right, no one would give a shit about what Steven did. If anything they’d cheer, at the show I was at I was in the front row and eating fries and at one point a guy actually grabbed them and threw them on the ground , it was great.
