When you price your shoes, for example 150 for a simple design, is it best to tell the customer to buy the pair of shoes they’d want decorated or do you buy the shoes and include the shoe cost + custom work?

Just depends on the design and the base shoe. And what you and your client want , sometimes they’ll want to supply the shoe, other times they’ll say you handle everything

Question nobody asked yet or maybe I haven’t gotten the answer ? Do you buy the sneaker and pain then sell or the customer brings the shoes and you just paint? if not are you sponsored by Nike or Jordan or buying in bulk

Just depends on your business structure.. sometimes you’ll deal with clients who have the money and will say just buy the shoe for me and do the work, other times you may work with people who prefer sending in their shoes to be customized. There’s always psychology involved that sometimes people don’t want to have the added price of the base shoe in the total cost such as maybe a pair of Jordan’s costing 200 and then the price of the artwork on top of that can get high quickly.
