Thank you for the follow up, I cut three motor flange circles and works great, I also had a cheap shop light that I places behind it and wow I love it, thanks so much for all your help.

There have been a couple of little things that have completely changed the type of woodworker I am. This was one of those things. Once i realized a shop didn't have to be dirty, I took a lot more pride in my shop and in my work.

Thanks for these videos. I just made mine from a metal barrel and cut the baffle in the metal lid about like your setup. Works great!

That is a great option. Sometimes, the metal barrels are easier to find.

I have watched all of your videos on this build. Why did you change how the suction was mounted over the barrel. I thought that was a good design and the one that I plan to use. Also, have you had any issues with the plastic barrel trying to collaspe due to suction pressure?

Your build looks good and I have taken your ideas and am in the middle of doing my own. I will use a cardboard barrel with a locking lid, cut out the majority of the the metal lid, attach the baffle to the outside of the cut lid and the rest is will be very similar.

It sounds like it should work great.

@@ShopRamblings You made the video so you are now the resident expert! between the housing and the suction end of the fan on the motor, is there a min or max distance?

Friction will slow the flow. Turns are worse than distance. Leaks also will make a huge difference. Mine runs 20 feet Then goes under my shop and comes back up under my table saw. It has more than enough flow. If I have two gates opened at the same time they will both work but you can tell it doesn't suck as well.

Hello, I have watched your videos on this system and made one to the same specs with a 2 hp grizzly dc. The problem I have is it is not collecting dust, even the chips from my dw735 planer go right through it. I made it to match the one you made in your friends shop, any help would be great. Thanks
