Yeah I know a really good lube for a 1 by 1 cube. Just apply a combination of Martian, Lunar and cosmos along with some weight 4 and it will go really smoothly

Moyu WRM v9 almost demands Nebula lube. It gets rid of the crunchy feel and keeps the pieces sliding together instead of constantly trying to separate during turns. Start with 3 drops, and if it starts getting too gunmy, hit it with a drop of galaxy or lunar to speed it back up a little. Literal gamechanger... i love my v9 now (was WAY too fast for me before)...

The biggest worry I have with lube is how oily is it? Does the cube feel oily afterwords or is it okay, I’m autistic and have sensory issues and anything oily or greasy is just horrible lol. I would hate to ruin the cubing experience just for a sensory ick.

Update: it’s actually okay. Definitely be careful how much you use but a few drops is fine.

bro, just start with the smallest amount, just one drop. and then feel the cube. not enough? 1 more. untill it's perfect for you. it's that simple, I am serious. talking of the oily feeling of the surface? no it never happens unless you literally spill some lube on it and overlubed ur cube. take care

Why is it always 4:42pm in all of your videos? :) I like Martian as a good base lubricant. With Martian applied, you can even speed the cube up with Stardust, or slow it down with Nebula or Cosmos. But be careful to not overlube your Puzzle when mixing the lubes. When you know your "combination", for 3x3 i recommend 4 drops of Martian, 2-3 drops of another lube from your choice and break it in. Done! :)

If you look at MoYu's older vids circa 2015, they tell you to lube with Vaseline or petrolatum. I am sure you can make some yourself for next to nothing if you have a can of spray silicone and die electric grease.

What does heavy mean? I was thinking of Vortex, but I don't know what heavy means and don't want to get something that slows it down .

Heavy is the viscosity of the lube. Votrtex is specifically a core lube, so if u add it to pieces it may feel odd. For fast lubes I recommended lubes with speed rating 8 or above and heaving rating 4 or under, or with speed lube weight 1.

Weighted lube is basically a longer lasting but harder to apply variants of cosmic cube. If you want lube to last longer having a layer of weighted lube before adding the desired cosmic lube(s) will help. Weight means the viscosity of the lube. Gummy is harder to explain, but I will explain it as sound and speed. Gummier lubes tend to make dry cubes quieter, but also a bit slower. The Opposite is true for "not so gummy" lubes. The main difference between silicone and water-based is just how the lube will spread and last in the cube. Silicone lasts longer but harder to clean and takes more force to apply, while water based lubes last shorter but easier to clean as it evaporate over time. Also be aware of just dumping a ton of lube because water-based lube is very low in viscosity. Hope it helped

So, no joke, I lubed my really dirty 356 RS (after cleaning) WITH FRYING OIL and it is WAY smoother, like if you dont want to get a lube, Just use frying oil. now the thing is if you dont use it for too long it will turn white and fricking solid, so either use it everyday in warm weather, or watch your cube get ruined, somewhat motivating

Hey SCS - I love your videos and your store but I have one piece of criticism that has been bugging me. The LUT/colour grading recently, and on this video in particular, is pushing your greens heavily towards blue. While this is definitely a cinematic look, it makes the blue and green of a cube look very similar. Maybe not vital for a more informational video like this, but definitely an issue when looking at product colours.

I bought the ultimate lube bundle with 10 ml and I don't regard it. I think choosing the 5 ml variant would be better because those 10 ml lube bottles (That are in total 1200 drops 💀) aren't run all out before I die. Your lubes are the best in the world ❤ Those cubicle lube looks like shit. I would say any other cube lubricant is a knock of.

Something slow as a maglev cube without core magnets is pretty fast. My recommendation is Nebula, Cosmos or Weight 5/6
