Nothing against Channing, but yeah, he's kind of aged out of Gambit, mainly because 10 years from now, he's going to probably look his age. Also, he's too damn big to be Gambit. Agreed. Channing face is like a big muscle. He looks more like hulk then Remy. You could literally paint Channing green and cast him as Hulk without any CGI and you'd be good to go. And yeah IDK if it had anything to do with Channing himself but when he said " I didn't know my father but I'm sure I shot out of his ___ ready." and then he says something about buttery nuts blah blah. It fit for a Deadpool movie however it did not fit the character at all. I actually took me out of the movie for a minute. I do apricate Channing's love for the character.

Maybe they'll be going for a younger and "leaner" version.. I mean, it was fun to see Tatum as Gambit.. but it kind of felt a bit off to me. I think it was the face/mask.. it made his face balloon/puff up.. or maybe that's because he was buffing up for the role. But Gambit is not a buff character.. he is a tall lean cat burgler in the comics.. lean, fast and acrobatic.. that's not Tatums version.. Maybe they want it to be more comic accurate and to have the character to last for a multitude of movies... and going for a younger guy for that reason.

Creature Commandos has already convinced me the new DCU is in better hands. Marvel should have called it after Endgame and let it have it's legacy and just start over with all new actors for all the characters every time for any future stories. Deadpool and Wolverine is the only thing they have cranked out since then that was actually fun and entertaining and didn't feel like algorithm bland safe and boring like everything else since Endgame has felt like.

I love that Kitty Pryde is on the main character list and Gambit is also a favorite character of mine too. Seriously though can we get a new Wolverine actor already? Jackman needs to retire after Secret Wars! I did some searching on google recently. Rahoul Kohli would be an excellent choice in my opinion. I say this all the time when it comes to casting for Gambit: go check out the fan film Play For Keeps. Daken looks a little weird, but everyone else, ESPECIALLY Gambit felt really solid. It would be awesome if Feige gave a lesser known actor a shot to really own the role.

in the case of story, if we don't get a Mutant Saga Primer film called, "The Mutants", detailing Xavier & Magneto's backstory, we would need a story with the likes of Giant-Sized X-Men, where a new team is formed in order to rescue the FIRST; it'd be the best way to bridge their origin to a new generation, instantly giving audiences a nice variety to push forward with great stories without the slog of ALL the history, ALL the continuity!

Not using Channing Tatum would be a mistake. Tatum has been the attached actor ever since Disney acquired Fox. Not using him would be like replacing Charlie Cox as Daredevil. Ultimately, nobody says an Xmen addition to the MCU has to be a reboot. The Xmen have been part of pop culture for 62 years. I think we all know who they are.

They absolutely 1000% will be recasting Gambit. It shouldn’t be Tatum period. He was cute as Gambit in Deadpool for what that was supposed to be (campy and not very serious or understandable) but beyond that I feel casting him any further is pointless and would ruin the continuity of anything they are trying to build in the mutant world as a whole. I am okay with him showing back up for secret wars too if that’s a thing or if he’s the gambit from whatever universe the secret wars X-men are from but, nothing beyond that. Who they need to be looking at for Gambit in the future is someone like Austin Butler or Jacob Elordi. Either of those dudes have the look, the tone (both physical and vocal) and the acting chops to play or develop into that character. I personally don’t know why so many think Tatum was the best choice even when he was younger SIDE NOTE: Millie Bobby Brown as Rogue and Timotheé Chalemet for Nightcrawler!

Taylor Kitsch should've been in the movie and gotten a spinoff. Much better version of Gambit. Channing Tatum was, in my opinion, a try-hard or not trying at all.
