Okay I'm like the man with the u-haul I cannot backup a trailer for anything and then Jeff gets in there makes it look so easy it's funny

I have a small road trailer, and I hate backing that thing up. My son, on the other hand, is a pro at it.
@therlbry7 ай бұрын
I taught my kids to back trailer. Both with small trailers because they are the hardest. I told them if you can't back it, you have no business pulling it forward. Of course backing down a hill is a whole different beast.

My family had the U Haul franchise many years ago in the middle of the Florida Keys. Backing that 6 x 12 trailer with the largest truck is really challenging. Obviously I was NEVER allowed to back anything-I can't even back a 4 x 6 utility trailer...
@waltergrasmick56157 ай бұрын
@@debcoughlan5176 Those 6x12 trailers have surge brakes, I found out they don't like to back uphill very well. It was only into a driveway so I just pushed it into it. Brakes didn't really lock it up up, just made it a little bit tougher.

Can't you just accommodate that pitiful driver, he's in a hurry, just unhook those cables let him thru then rehook, the entitlement amazes me, great job you two, 😊

The first customer needs serious applause for making great decision: starting to spin tire on tow vehicle? Stopped and waited 'til morning. AND had no qualms about having Jeff back the trailer out. Seriously - I admire a person who knows his/her limits and turns things over to a pro. 👍
@davidbandler8 ай бұрын
My wonder - assuming it was an automatic transmission - if he was spinning in Drive, or had he even tried to use his optional/manual 1st or 2nd and disabled his automatic traction control features. Most newer vehicles are not designed with towing as a primary mode of use. Regardless, he did the absolute correct thing considering his lack of mountain driving experience.

The pickup truck: I’m trying to visualize how, on a two lane road, that the truck got its passenger side rear panel and right rear tire crushed, then ended up in the ditch on the left side of the road. That doesn’t happen… unless the pickup driver himself was trying to pass something else in a no passing zone (note the double yellow line). What we’re seeing could have happened if the pickup driver tried to cut back into the driving lane far too soon and sideswiped the other vehicle.

I just had to say something because you made me laugh when I saw you poor out half a creek of water from your gumboot, just a tip, just what we do with ours after feeding up time on a wet day.
