had same in tournament just last weekend, you have good days and bad days, I think its mental game, you have all the shots , but it just does not click sometimes, and you lose confidence and become too tense and rigid! Happens to all of us! keep posting great content! thanks again

So many KZbinrs and content creators keep showing us the perfect stuff but never show us mistakes / bad days. I'm glad you uploaded this. Makes the content feel more relatable to us and more realistic. EDIT: and after watching fully, yeah man thanks for being brave enough to share this. Sometimes you just have a bad day but that doesn't nullify the good days. Keep it up!

Expert analysis at the end there! 😂 I felt like this yesterday. Played a game and every time I lobbed I felt like I was setting up a smash. Even when I actively tried to focus on it, it almost made it worse. The mental game is tough!

I think your right re the camera distraction. I don’t know if you also play golf but if I turn up to the course cutting it fine, rush to get everything out the car and ready and then shoot straight to the first hole I know I’m in for a howler and just can’t shake that chasing my tail feeling. Feel like padel can be the same.

Good video, sometimes it's like that. May help to keep a routine going before matches, right from warm up, until your first point. In warm up, ground strokes at 60-70% backhand serval times, forehand till you feel your rhythm. Same with volley, bandeja and smash. Routine for me works! Great videos! Would love to get on the court with you sometime! Coming to uk colchester at Christmas for a few days. Any chance of a game? Keep the videos coming!

Think we can all have off days, equally our opponents can just be hitting cleverly to spots that mean we are always a little uncomfortable and make it feel like we are just playing badly. Love your videos mate. Out of interest what do you use to film your matches in terms of a set up? Any top tips for me? I’m still experimenting but have now invested in a tripod after using a glass suction mount and the wide angle on my iPhone previously.

Great video as always. I think at times it looked like the game was being played at quite a fast pace and i wonder whether there was an opportunity to try slow the game down a bit, maybe play some slow bandejas, chiquitas etc. Easier said than done in tournament though.

Fair play for uploading mate! I would really keep an eye on your positioning. You seem to creep forward during rallies when your partner stays back, opening yourself up to some awkward returns and eventually leaving gaps or missing the return. Steven’s ‘perfect return’ would’ve been a fairly simple return if you hadn’t moved forward to take the net when your opponents were still in control of the net, and your partner remained in a defensive position. Obviously these are things you may have discussed beforehand given you had more time before the match started. Love the vids! 🎾

It happens, I am usually quite consistent but there are days where nothing is working, lobs are short or to long, return is awful, the works. And it’s nothing to do with opponents, it’s all on me. I just brush it off and can’t wait to get back on the court again.

It sucks to have one of those day but good on you for releasing the video anyway. Only thing I found very odd for two advanced players: You both played as if you were facing two right-handed players. Loads of balls down the middle, nothing to leftie's backhand, barely any parallel lobs. From these clips it seems a few better tactical choices would have given you a good chance of winning even if your quality wasn't up to your normal level. No intent to pile on, I know it's easier said than done. I appreciate you sharing the good, bad and the ugly.

@zepintoferreira84319 күн бұрын
@@EverythingPadel happens to everyone once in a while. I find us amateurs overcomplicate what 'strategy' is: just a set of pre-made decisions that improve your chances. In this case it seemed like it really hurt you to allow the leftie to use his forehand so much, nothing more. You'll be back to better sensations immediately I hope!

So tough to play free in tourneys. Everyone is an expert when watching, but I can see for sure you need more variation on overheads, especially if you want to play on the left.

In my opinion, what he does is exactly what he's supposed to be doing in situations where you feel like you have lost control: try to go for the solid gameplan, build on the shots you are comfortable with. In his case, it's a vibora in the far end corner (consequently the shot with the least risk)
@pierregodeau42869 күн бұрын
@nieksimons8838 yes, but easy to defend if opposition knows what's coming. They are easy to defend too after a certain level. Just my opinion. I've played in Spain for 9 years.
@nieksimons88384 күн бұрын
@@pierregodeau4286 you're right. I was thinking going for easier shots to find rhythm again could be a good option. But that's not the case with higher caliber opponents, as is showcased in this video!

Question I have for all, how come we don't see more or if any, serve fast top spin serves? My friend does this fast top spin serves and I'm questioning if it's legal or not. Still underarm motion, but can generate so much power. Such a weapon so why pros don't serve like this?

Had the same thing this weekend, got through the prelim round with decent playing, 1/4 finals we kicked our opponents ass, 1/2 final first set pretty easy 6-3, second set they found my Achilles Heel with sky high lobs where i couldnt put pressure on them and they kept bringing our shots back. Second set 4-6, then a super tie-break where we totally lost our confidence and lost 0-10 Oh well, on to the next one, also for you guys

As a tennis player, what I noticed in fast volley-volley rallies is that the both of you often don't get the ball back low over the net, giving opponents a chance to volley downwards. Your blocking with too much speed. If the volley-volley goes too fast, you can lower the speed a bit by slightly moving the racket back back upon hitting. This will get a bit of the speed out of the ball so it drops fast instead of going up when doing a hard block.
